I don’t know, some people get pretty bent over “Scootachicken” sometimes…
 
Also, nowhere has it been implied that Scoots is “disabled,” (it was implied more-so she just has “underdeveloped” wings, and can still function in other ways perfectly) and the “Scootachicken” joke has nothing to do with said “disability” really.
 
At least chickens can fly somewhat, so the “Scootaloo is a dodo” joke would actually be more “insulting” to Scootaloo. (Though, no offense, but don’t forget Scootaloo is a fictional character.)

Making a joke about a secondary character that the show made first is less obnoxious to people than insulting a main character in a way the show never implied, yes.

I find it funny how Scootachicken jokes are viewed as just somewhat annoying, but Applejack is a background pony jokes seem to genuinely offend a lot of people.
 
It’s like making fun of a possibly disabled little filly isn’t that bad, but implying that Applejack isn’t very interesting is like holocaust joke level offensive.

I don’t mind “Scootachicken,” but I don’t care for the “Chickun” face, sense people tended to spam that to much. Not so much anymore though, they tend to spam with Sonic pics now, to anger/troll the Sonic-haters.

BTW, I’ve also filtered out “chikun” and “scootachicken” on Derpibooru. Neither of those make me smile. Also as tiresome as Kid Icarus: Uprising’s “humor”.

The “scootachicken” meme is older than my Sega Genesis library.

Y’know, looking at the older comments, I don’t get why so many people here always have to complain about the “Scootachicken” jokes, especially sense we haven’t gotten many pics of them recently, and people still laugh at other “overused/old” MLP meme jokes, and don’t whine about ones that are even more overused.
 
Funny thing is, regardless of that mini-drama, Scootaloo’s voice Madalyn Peters said she loves the “Scootachicken” gag, and loves saying “I’m Scootaloo, and I’m not a chicken!” at cons. So at least she can take a joke.
