Please keep discussion calm and civil and remember that this image is Safe-rated, so any mentions of things like rape must be spoilered.
 
Additionally, I recommend rereading information on Toon Kritic when arguing, as it may help from going off on long tangents and getting emotionally heated. At the very least, it should slow down the rate of discussion, which can help people cool down.

It’s not the opposition which gets granted the accusation of white knighting, it’s the way in which the opposition is presented. If one were to just disagree with me on Toon’s ultimate judgement, that’s fine. None of us in the fandom could be on his jury anyway given that all of us already know him and thus we possess bias in some form. The reason the way that the opposing opinion is white knighting is it’s making an appeal to emotions by suggesting that because of certain factors existing that we should ALL somehow attack this person with bloodlust or desire for execution. It’s the same kind of white knighting one can hear from, “You hurt Jennifer’s feelings and now she’s crying. I’m going to teach you a lesson!” It’s cringy. It’s silly, and it does nothing to actually help the situation except try to rally people against one person for the wrong reasons.

Given that A) I have social workers in my immediate family thus am familiar with how abused children can be, and B) one of my house brothers killed himself most likely due to the neglect he suffered at the hands of his biological mother; I like to think I’m familiar with the kinds of abuse kids tragically can suffer from besides “s/he touched muh private parts!”

I never argued that 10 year olds can or can’t protect themselves. I never even made a claim anywhere near that. You constructed a strawman because you’re equating what I say with what you believe I said.
 
A major point I’d like to make is that we cannot oust someone from a fandom. You can’t just tell someone to no longer be interested in something. You can say that you’re unaffiliated or not associated with someone, which does exactly what you want, but gatekeeping them from their interests in something that you are also interested in is absurd. I don’t believe I need to outline how much you would be upset if people told you, “Well, you’re not a real brony because x, y, and z reasons.” You would probably be quite upset that someone wants to tell you that you can’t be apart of something because of a No-True-Scotsman fallacy.
 
I’m still trying to figure out where you got this idea that the children can defend theirselves, like somehow I made this claim? No, I never said any such thing. No, what I’m doing is separating the major outcomes of the situation so that each can be looked at for it’s own evaluation. Toon’s judgement and the the girl’s abuse are two different topics in the larger picture that is this whole debacle. Hid judgement should be looked at without any bias, which is why I’m doing my best not to show any sympathy for the victim when talking about Toon’s judgement because we’re doing our best to judge the severity of his crime. Adding emotion to that will only make things develop into hysteria.

I never claimed that you were a pedo, I’m just saying that it’s a reoccurring thing happening that people who are adamant to attack something, anything, often end up becoming their enemy for whatever reason.
 
To put your misconceptions to rest, I don’t think you’re a pedo. There’s no evidence that supports that. It’s suspicious, from my point of view, how people will attack pedophiles so easily without any sort of critical thinking, but other than that I don’t believe you’re a pedo and I never made such a claim. I did claim that it is possible, which is true about anyone on the planet. I put you on blast and put a spotlight on you because white knighting is honestly cringy.

We have to remember kids watch this show. Now you might argue that “Oh, hey its their fault they watched brony content.” No, no it’s not. Its nobody’s fault that it appeared in their YouTube recommendations (some analysts are on yt kids) Yes, I agree that he shouldn’t be treated as if he killed a bunch of people but he shouldn’t be allowed back in the fandom. We should be big enough people to know that 10 yr olds are very vulnerable. Don’t argue that the 10 yr/olds are good enough to be protect themselves because everyone matures differently.
