This image was originally posted on deviantArt by the artist DaVca in 2011. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a link, and the artist’s deviantArt page was deleted. The original title of the image is “Saddam Wrap Up”. It’s a photo-manipulation of the iconic image of April 9, 2003, in which Iraqi civilians and U.S. soldiers pull down a statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad, Iraq. Rarity and Fluttershy in soldier equipment help them.

…And they were paid to stand there is why they started dancing on the statue and drove the vehicles that pulled the statue down, right? Nah, I don’t think it’s so hard to believe that the people hated someone who was committing genocide…
Or have heard that this event was staged by psyops and the Iraqi crowd in the background was literally paid to stand there and make it look legit.
Or distaste for the Iraq War in general.
Or they just hate dragging ponies into politics, especially where they’re irrelevant.
It’s kind of hard to say they support a dude who could be described as “Mesopotamian Hitler with a larger mustache” when all you have to base that opinion on is a downvote.
