PP: What kind of music do you like to use for parties?
LZ: Ever heard this one? It’s about balloons, real catchy.
PP: Wow, this is really upbeat! Super danceable!
PP: Wish I could understand the lyrics, though… hmm, looks like German…
PP: Papa, you can read German, right? Could you take a look at this for me?
IR: I see you still insist on listening to secular music…
PP: Never mind that. So what’s it say?

RD: Hey Pinkie, wanna party?!
PP: I don’t feel like it right now…
Always a laugh riot.
Nope, it’s an 80’s German New Wave anti-war song about a flock of balloons causing a conflict which escalates to mutual assisted destruction.

Thank you.
Edited because: of the smartest is always the best

The song is from the 80s, predating everything you mentioned (except WWII, obviously).
It’s about the Cold War.
And it’s not “war music” as you call it, it’s an anti-war protest song.
Nor is 99 luftballons heavy metal.
Case in point.

From the context, I can guess:
Panel 1: Lemon Zest gives Pinkie Pie the song “99 Luftballons” by Nena to listen to.
Panel 2: Pinkie likes the song but can’t understand the German lyrics.
Panel 3: She asks her father to translate the lyrics for her.
Panel 4: She discovers what the lyrics are about.
Panel 5: Pinkie is depressed.
