You can not filter for “screencap” + “animated” currently. The admins are promising that it will eventually be possible.

Exactly. The thing is just that it might take a bit since this is a bigger thing to program. (Even if it is on the agenda and the to do list since almost a year. :p)  
A admin could explain this better. But as far as I know it would basically mean to re-script the entire tagging feature.

Are satyrs really fit for the “original species” tag? On one hand, they belong there because they aren’t in the show, but on the other, can they really be called “original”?

Do we have a “mythical creature” tag?

“trap” as in a male crossdresser or otherwise effeminate male, vs. “trap” as in the actual physical trap/restraint of some kind.

That tag looks completely superfluous. Lots of mistags, and then one or two memes/single artist obsessions like slime ponies or plane ponies.

Strictly speaking, if they have horsebutts they’re Sileni. Satyrs have goat butts.

Do you want OC images spammed with “waah, this OC has a lion tail, it’s a mary sue!!”? That’s why we have that tag. It’s pretty much just for filtering.

“Trap (object)”? Or nuke the tag that defines crossdressers and effinate males (since I think that both have their tag already.)

I’d prefer it if “trap” were literal. It seems more intuitive for me, there are other words to describe effeminate males, and there are troubling implications for the non-literal usage.

Isn’t the female tag a bit obsolete? I mean most of the chars are female anyway and so are most of the pictures anyway. Ok, the solo female and solo male tag i can kinda understand, since they are to distinguish certain kind of pictures on the site for search and filtering. But are the female and the male tag really needed?

Speaking of the satyr tag, it’s in need of a massive retagging haul; well, at least images of satyr offspring. Most satyr offspring images (you know, characters like Pogo and Mudpie) aren’t even tagged with OC, no less with “oc:(name here)”. I’ve already retagged a few, but it would be nice to get some help.

Is there an equivalent tag to offspring for its reverse? Speculating about character’s parents instead of children?

Yes. I’ve set a short and detailed description for the tag now, the latter listing death as a related tag. Maybe there’s more related tags, or perhaps even an implied rating, but anyone tagging it obviously didn’t read any sort of description. Feel free to go ahead and remove them from not-actual-heart-attack pictures (I might go ahead and untag it from the thumbnails for a bunch of them, but someone will probably need to go through it after that still).

Should there be a tag for images showing one or more of the Cutie Mark Crusaders having gained their cutie mark? I saw the tag “post-crusade” and started using it, then learned that it was originally meant to indicate a particular Tumblr ask blog; leading to a slight mess (although most of my tag changes have been reverted, leaving the images in question buried again).
 
“Post-crusade” sounds like it refers to a subject and not a blog. Should it be aliased to something like “series:post-crusade”, or just given a description?
 
(I originally raised the question here, before seeing this thread.)

The plot and ass tag are in need of a clean up. If I’m not mistaken the definition of the ass tag was for bipedal humanoid, aka humanization, anthros, equestria girls. And the plot tag was for our four legged mammals, aka the ponies, griffons, other equines, (dragons?) ect.  
Or has this changed in the last year? Because the terms are often getting mixed up.

Yeah I know that, that is why it needs a clean up. And because both tags are used often false.
