@Wiimeiser
That’s a pretty old card though. Not sure if the timing works for behind the scenes info sharing. Probably just an obscure reference to something else.

That, and unless magic was involved or some other outside influence, Celestia turning evil makes no sense. Unless some villian tortures or break her mind, or dark and corrupting magic is cast upon her, I just can’t see her becoming evil.
At this point it’s clear usage of Celestia is contractually prohibited. I believe this might be the case with Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Babs, Twist, and Rarity’s parents as well.
Dammit! Just got done watching “Every Little Thing She Does”. How much more magical gifted are the writers going to make Starlight??! There’s been more variety of powerful magic from her than every other character combined in all seasons… excluding Discord perhaps.
Sighs, I wish someone would break her horn or something. At least put some limits on what she’s able to do. Either that, or Twilight it’s well it’s going to be completely redundant. At this point star lights even outshining the royal sisters and every other magic user in a question.
Hell, at this point I will not be surprised if the writers reveal her to be more powerful than Starswirl the Bearded. Outstripping ever unicorn any Equestrian history or any alicorn.
@EquestrianScholar
During the actually battle between Twilight and Starlight in the season 5 finale… they were in a stalemate.
She does seem to have one hard limit, as shown in the flashbacks in the Crystalling: like Twilight, she can’t cast spells she doesn’t know. Why do you think she was bragging to Twilight about finding old spells and learning them?

And it wasn’t even a proper clone, she was just standing in two places at once. It’s not a duplicate that can act on its own. Not very practical, just seemed like magic for the sake of magic.
@rdibp
Two new kinds of shields.
And an explosive variation so it’s more like three shields.
And can teleport as well as Twilight.
And can transfigure things as well as Twilight.
And can give herself super speed.
Combine the latter with her self-levitation and Starlight could be as fast as Rainbow Dash.
So, a prodigy, under the tutelage of another prodigy, with literally nothing to do with her life except studying and practicing magic because she’s too scared to do anythin else, is actually getting better at magic? The episode is about how she was going above and beyond to wow Twi with her magic to distract from the fact that her lessons aren’t going well in other areas, and all her power only lead to problems.
