I just don’t get it though. It can’t possibly be for the same reason why Twist no longer has any lines (her VA moved away). Brynna most likely still lives with her dad, and her dad’s still on the show…

Which is bullshit as they’ve misspelled several other actresses’ names before and that wasn’t a problem (Britt McKilip springs to mind)… Then again, most of Wiimeiser’s theories are kind of ridiculous…

As I’ve said repeatedly, it ain’t gonna die. MLP is a franchise that will live on long past FiM’s end, and chances are MLP will never lower itself to its G3 depth ever again.

Mmm. I was musing on this on my way home from work. Being that the entertainment industry is what it is, this probably comes up all the time. Producers—being the go-between between DHX and the Hasbro executives—probably budget for for a certain figure and are probably used to negotiating with the unions. I can’t even see that as a big obstacle. Hasbro isn’t new to the entertainment industry, so I have this feeling they’re used to working with performer availability. I can’t imagine the fees would suddenly be astronomical AAA-list Hollywood celebrity (maybe?).
 
It’s a bit intimidating to us, but I wonder if it’s no big deal to the people who live and breathe this stuff.
 
Musing more on this, I think Babs/Twist haven’t had speaking roles lately because the writers/Hasbro Studios 1) haven’t entertained the idea of including them again, or 2) have entertained the idea, but most likely haven’t had any good ideas for them.

Plus, it’s not like she outright refuses to have anything more do with the franchise since she still shows up at pony conventions which also kills the theory that she’s now asking for an arm and a leg to reprise the role.

Those two theories do make some sense when you realize that DT and SS both got short straws in season 6 since neither had any speaking roles despite them both having at least one in every other season.

It’s due to issues with their VAs. Twist’s moved to another country, and as for Brynna, we don’t know for certain, but I assume some contract breach since her name was misspelled as “Bryanna” in both of her appearances. And I’ll hold that until I’m proven wrong.

Unless Twist’s VA renounced her Canadian citizenship, her just being in the US shouldn’t prevent her from working on the show. Even though she has duel citizenship, Tara primarily lives in the US yet is still able to voice one on the main characters.

I think Twilight is buying into the whole “Starlight is just me squared” thing fans picked up a bit too close to heart.
 
And she’s also still an idiot for thinking Starlight’s too good for friendship lessons after one leadership lesson.
