Wrong Unpopular Opinion thread.

One of the last MLP episodes I saw was the one with Applejack and I think rarity I don’t really remember fighting over something that happened in the sea and twilight had to fix the rift between them and find out what happened.  
In the end in turns out it was a giant sea monster that caused it, something that had little to no foreshadowing or clues to
 
I still have no idea what the moral is and imo it’s the worst episode I watched

I’m one of the few who likes the kinda unstable Chrysalis we saw in Mean 6. Unlike other villains we’ve seen more of a progression of sorts with her. I’d like them to go somewhere with this honestly. Of the two options I think reforming her would be better because I think that’s what they’ve set up the most.
 
But regardless, I think they’ve set up her story’s ending (if it happens of course) to be something momentous. Either she’s redeemed, or her not redeeming will be a major moment.Cuz Mean 6 was kinda about showing Chrysalis that surrounding yourself with evil can easily bite you in the back.

I also like unstable Chrysalis. What I think would happen is that she runs away again and becomes sort of a new series wide villain and could appear again in G5.
 
One theory that I have about her is that she is an unfortunate victim of bad luck and the universe will not give her a break. First, with accidently revealing to Twilight where Cadenece is, then having the unfortunate decision of not kidnapping Starlight Glimmer, and now her clones turning against her. The woman really needs a doggy treat or something.

Redeeming her, after all this time, would just be shit imo. Just have her stay defiant till the end then kill her off.

I think the idea of “everyone is redeemable” isn’t a bad moral to teach kids
 
But chrysalis does deserve to be punished for her actions  
Can we just have a kids show where a villain who is redeemed still gets punished for their previous actions
 
Not sure the “but sir I am redeemed” would work in the Nuremberg trials lol

Yeah. I’m just thinking that either Chrys gets redeemed, or the series ends with her as one of the most tragic characters in it’s run.

That’s kinda what I’m saying. At this point, the writers are conflicted on what her resolve might be because no matter what approach they’ll take, the fandom will still complain about it.

Yes. As much as it doesn’t seem like it, the fans are pretty vocal and they tweet about their frustrations towards anything. I’m not saying that they deserve whatever backlash they get, because they DON’T, I’m just going by a feeling in my gut.

I mean I know they are inundated by the most whiny and inane drivel masquerading as “criticism”, but have there ever been any indication that trash has influenced them away from ideas?
