The rangers were confused, but not idiots. But they wouldnt wast resources on just 2 bandits. D6 had a lot of supplies in it, enough to supply all the rangers for centuries. But they weren’t wasteful.

Unbeknownst to the duo, a single Ranger was tracking them. Red Glare kept to the shadows at all time, and would not give up easily. He wondered to himself why bandits would even try to attack exhibition. It was under the protection of polis, seeing as it was used as a trading station by the rangers. The supplies in D6 were being shared with the whole metro, except for the military hardware, which the rangers keep for themselves. Said supplies go through exhibition to polis, where it is then distributed throughout the whole metro.

(quick question: as far as the surface goes, are we going with the logic of the games or the books? Games being that the surface is pretty shit, but anyone can go up there if they have a gas mask. Books being that the surface is the most dangerous place but full of amazing stuff, and it’s a bad idea to go up there alone or without full body protection. Also, most stalkers require years of training before they are allowed to go up)

(I’ve only recently played the games. Never touched the books but what sounds better to you?)
 
She felt something was a little off but eventually got over the feeling “Considering everyone else I thought would be useful is dead..”

Red Glare wasn’t stupid enough to use the main tunnel. Maybe if he needed to close distance quickly, but not here. He was in the large concrete ducts above, and drops down behind the duo, kalash 2012 aimed at both of them. “If you insist”

“You again. What the hell do you want anyway?”

“To turn you in. Or set you lose. I’m not sure yet. Depends on how you answer my questions.”

“Why did you attack exhibition? Surely you knew it was under the protection of both polis and the rangers? Or is that why you attacked? Because rangers have thousands of military grade rounds? It’s no longer a secret that D6 has factory modules in it making 5.45 rounds by the tens of thousands.”

She shrugged and waved her gun around as she talked “I was feeling good today, wanted to do something daring, even reckless.”

While the ranger was distracted with talking to the ranger, the Pegasus grabbed his shotgun, aiming at the ranger

And a military grade rounds knocks the gun out of his hands.  
“Don’t give me a reason to kill either of you, and let me finish talking. I don’t want to kill you. I want to hire you.”

“It’s not uncommon for Rangers to hire mercenaries nowadays. Most of the veteran rangers are too busy training new recruits to actually go out on missions. I want to hire the two of you.”
