It’s like when people think members of their religion that have a slightly different outlook aren’t ‘true’ members of the religion.
More like FAUX-nies, amirite?I agree, though. I can’t stand when fandoms start bringing up who is and who isn’t a “true fan.”
Don’t be pretentious now, you don’t get to decide what is or isn’t a “true brony”, remember that.
eww consoles.
:P
It’s called consoles.
Thanks, I’ll look into that. /)
I haven’t played any of them either. I tried the first game but found the controls frustrating. (And before everone tells me I just have to play Fallout 3 and onward: I’m running OS X and Linux, so no.)
That hasn’t stopped me from reading Fallout Equestria though. It works pretty well on its own. Way I see it it’s part of the MLP fandom’s cultural canon – unless you object to grimdark or just don’t enjoy reading then it’s something you aught to read. I just finished reading it for the second time. First time was about four years ago, just as it got finished.
The original one by Kkat would be the starting point, and most FO:E stories only bother trying to stay in line with the events of the original.
I need to read FO:E, but there is so much of it,from so many authors, with no reading order and no clear place to start. :/
Never read it, personally. Felt like since I never played any of the Fallout games, that fic wouldn’t be for me.
Well, if you liked Fallout Equestria, then this would be the next best thing.
Honestly, the premieres and finales have so little in the way of persistent plot elements that I find it difficult to draw a hard line between them and any other episode that establishes a new element, or recurring character. Not to mention, the Cutie Mark Crusaders kind of have their own meta-series here.
At the very least, I’d argue that this finale pushes The Cutie Mark Chronicles up to plot-point importance.
That would be an easy question, if not for one complication:
I understand why they didn’t explore this setting more, considering that it clashes greatly with the overall theme of the show, but let’s be honest. Which would you rather watch more of: My Little Pony: Equestria Girls or My Little Pony: The Crystal War?
>I do wish they’d explore this setting more instead of jumping between timelines.
Same. I know they probably wouldn’t have been able to do it with season length constraints and all, but each major timeline could have been its own episode.
I do wish they’d explore this setting more instead of jumping between timelines. On the other hoof it leaves things open to fanfic authors. It’s almost like they did it on purpose.
Probably something like the Doctor Who episode “Turn Left.”
I love all the fanfic fuel this finale has generated and can’t wait to read the stories generated during this hiatus.
This probably carries over to the other timelines as well. Somehow Celestia or other forces prevented NMM from escaping the moon, or put an end to her attack (or her). I’d go further and say that the issues arising from a costly battle with NMM exacerbated the problems with the other villains.
Yes, I have. I’d rate it as about equal to eqg.
Have you watched Friendship Games?
wat, fo reals? well send me a pm when you wake then. have sweet pony dreams.@GameWhiz14
Darn tootin. Join us in our mlp marathon! :)@Darth Sonic
Fixed that for ya :P. Although they are both bad girls and I’d go for either if they were real and of appropriate age.
But EQG1 wasn’t THAT bad, like I said it was cliche and predictable, and RR improved on a lot, but it wasn’t G3 levels of unwatchable.
