Solar Supporter - Fought against the New Lunar Republic rebellion on the side of the Solar Deity (April Fools 2023).

Trixie’s very first action, before Twilight had done anything, was to call Twilight princess in a ridiculously sarcastic manner, mocking her title. All of Trixie’s words to Twilight about being grateful towards her forgiveness were dripping with a ton of sarcasm, making light of her second chance, and then she topped it all off by damaging Twilight’s silverware. It’s natural to be wary of someone who acts like an asshole.

Twilight never attacked Trixie even a single time in the episode, neither insulting her, nor trying to deprive her of a friend because she hated her. She wanted Starlight to pick a different first friend because Twilight judged a jerk like Trixie to be too high difficulty for a newbie to friendship like Starlight, and that she could be a bad influence, and she was right; not only was Trixie originally planning to only be Starlight’s friend to one up Twilight (even if Trixie later found herself wanting to be her friend for its own sake), but she pressured Starlight into skipping an event with both her teacher, and the primary ruler od the nation.

Quite a few people have, even if not in this topic.

Twilight exercising reasonable suspicion towards Trixie after she acted like a dick at the castle is not her being callous and uncaring.

Obviously she was right, because not only did Trixie’s rant show that she was originally using Starlight merely to one up Twilight (yes, she realized she valued their friendship right after she said it, but that’s not the original motive Trixie had), but without Twilight intervening and talking to Starlight after Starlight ran off, there would have been no friendship between them anymore, and Starlight would have had a traumatic experience of her first independant friend admitting to wanting to use her. Twilight didn’t do anything in the tent except mildly scold Starlight; it was Trixie that blew up at Twilight and drove Starlight off with her careless words. Saying that Twilight “reopened old wounds” just by walking near Trixie is absolutely ridiculous.

“ but merely that she wasn’t a good choice for Starlight’s first independant friend, and she was right.”

She obviously wasn’t right, because they did become good friends. If it wasn’t for Twilight opening old wounds, Trixie would never have said that, and the episode makes it very clear that she didn’t mean it.

“Also note that Twilight never thought that Trixie was “evil” again, but merely that she wasn’t a good choice for Starlight’s first independant friend, and she was right.”

Nobody said Twilight thought Trixie was evil, stop making ship up.

“Twilight’s mistakes in this episode were her lying to Celestia and abandoning her with relative strangers in her castle, and trying to shove substitute friends in Starlight’s face, not her suspicion of Trixie.”

Twilight’s mistake was being callous and uncaring towards Trixie, just like the princess of friendship should be.

What a huge load of bullshit. The moment Trixie showed up Twilight told Starlight to pick a new friend. Trixie didn’t insult Twilight, or vandalize her property, and her attitude was just fine. It was Twilight who came off as a bitch while Trixie was just trying to turn her life around. Twilight didn’t even give a shit about Trixie’s redemption tour or whatever, she only cared about Celestia’s dinner party…

Trixie even admitted she was caught up in the moment when Twibitch came to ruin Trixie’s show and try to convince Starlight not to be her friend. Even after everything she’s been through, Twibitch didn’t want Trixie to have a friend.

Because Starlight was completely repentant, apologetic, and appreciative of her chance to turn her life around ever since she was given it, while Trixie was an asshole as soon as she showed up again (in less than a minute, she mocked Twilight’s title, made light of Twilight’s forgiveness, and vandalized her property).

Attitude is a huge determiner on how lenient someone is willing to be with you. In this episode, Trixie acted like pre-Twilight’s Kingdom Discord (at least, every time Twilight was around or involved); someone who is no longer evil, but is still a massive dick, and Twilight didn’t like Discord during season 4, either.

Also note that Twilight never thought that Trixie was “evil” again, but merely that she wasn’t a good choice for Starlight’s first independant friend, and she was right.

Twilight’s mistakes in this episode were her lying to Celestia and abandoning her with relative strangers in her castle, and trying to shove substitute friends in Starlight’s face, not her suspicion of Trixie.

Twilight just doesn’t give a shit what Trixie has been through, she’s such a wonderful princess of friendship.

Twilight was a b!%@* to Trixie in this one, wonder why she was so accepting of starlight.

Man. I liked the episode, but there’s no way to deny that they completely balls’d it up. If only it had been some sort of story about Trixie and Twilight hatching a silly scheme together…
