Hmmmm, that could be work, but there is a little problem here.
 
01 Can Cyan cast a spell on himself? It’s very likely that he can.
 
02 Would Cyan have enough magic power to transform other after he transformed himself into alicorn?
 
This part is can be very tricky. Let’s Say it that Alicorn have 4 times more magic power than Unicorn and then it requires Cyan 88% of his magic power to cast the spell. To avoid any confusion let’s that 1% of Cyan’s magic power is 1 MP and it require Cyan 88 MP to cast the spell. After he transformed himself he only have 12 MP but because Alicorn have 4 times more magic power than Unicorn, Cyan would have 48 MP. Unless if other would want to wait for Cyan to have at least 88 MP then he couldn’t cast it again.

So if Button Mash has enough magic to use the spell more then once, Cyan should have just turned himself into an Alicorn. Then he could transform the others.

I figure a password is safer then a button combo. If you input the password wrong, nothing happens. If you input the wrong button combo, you do a different attack. Last time Button did Midnight Bliss by mistake. If he tries again he might do Shun Goku Satsu.

Instead of the Konami Code version of the spell, use the Justin Bailey version.

It’s actually fairly easy to break Unicorn/Alicorn magic
 

What, you can block spells by using a barrier around his horn? What the hell…? :o
