Given that Equestria is such a magical world, can you be 100% certain there aren’t spells to give stallions fully functional wombs? I mean, if there are so many ovipositing species already, and futa mares, I wouldn’t find that surprising. Heck, you could tell me there are stallions born with the ability to get pregnant like females as their special talent and I wouldn’t be too shocked. ;p

It still has to be via normal sex. Unless it’s a siren, a sea pony, a changeling, a certain type of goo pony, or a few others yet to be mentioned that are already able to impregnate males :P

The way I see it is sirens impregnate other species, so their eggs are genetically compatible with any creature, but still normally come out as full sirens. So if one impregnated, say, Shining Armor, the offspring would be full-blooded sirens but could have Shiny’s colorization, hair, etc.
 
However, also in my continuity humans are genetically able to cross-breed with any species in Equestria to create hybrids.
 
Those two traits clash and can create a full human, a full siren, or anything in between :P
 
(Though on very rare occasions half-breeds can be born otherwise too, like a pony and a siren could make this :P)

Oh, really? Because I have not been able to stop thinking about doing a “birthday” follow up to that mini-fic I wrote earlier in the comments, and part of the reason I haven’t done it already is because I haven’t been able to decide if Flash’s daughters would be sirens, siren-satyrs, “sirenweres” (sirens with the ability to assume human & siren-satyr forms), or a mixture of two or more of the aforementioned.

Something like a tired but happy flat-bellied Flash in bed with however-many baby sirens in his arms and Adagio in either siren or human form standing next to him with an arm/hoof-fin on his shoulder and looking every bit the proud daddy?
