Or Darkseid because he was going to be the main antagonist of the D.C. Extended Universe and possibly a Justice League film series.

“Not threatening”? He stole the princesses magic and created a massive storm to destroy Canterlot, on top of conquering and or destroying dozens of other lands.
“Too easily deafeated”? Both Twilight and Tempest almost died to defeat him, which I’d say is awfully far from easy.

The Storm King never quite decided who he wanted to be when he grew up, but he was pretty sure that he was going to be either Emperor Palpatine or the genie from Aladdin. I don’t know about you, but I found that pretty memorable.

I'm Kind of a Big Deal

But we didn’t see Chryssi or her changelings do anything really except stand around and look menacing. Just like Storm King/his troops. Whatever “threat value” was actually on screen for him is being dismissed as not enough, and that exact same standard reduces Chryssi’s invasion laughable as well.

Tirek we at least did see draining magic out of ponies. Dunno why that’s an example. Seems like he’d still count under OP’s standards.

Sombra though, shit-tier. I’m sorry, saying, “Crystals” in what appears to be an attempt at a menacing voice but really just comes across like a drunkard’s slur just doesn’t really impress.

The argument is that OP seems to have set some kind of high bar for how threatening a villain needs to be. But turns a blind eye to all the other villains in the series which fail to meet that standard. Storm King is being placed on the bottom of this list of villains with the assertion that all other villains meet these standards and he doesn’t.

Don’t like the argument? Blame the OP for using it. We’re just pointing out that it fails to make sense even if we accept it.

You could try to argue that Chrysalis isn’t responsible for the invasion (and you’d be wrong) but at least the argument would hold up to superficial scrutiny in that without the changelings there cannot be an invasion of changelings. The reason you would be wrong is that after the shield went up the invasion could only go ahead because Chrysalis managed to replace Cadance and suborn the defences.

On the other hand, bringing up Tirek’s rampage and casting it in the same light as the changeling invasion is blatant equivocation. Tirek was the prime mover for his rampage — to argue that his rampage could have occurred without him would be pure sophistry.

Yeah, I don’t see why we even bother.

This person is gonna look at any point we make and be all ‘no, my opinion is always right and you’re wrong’ no matter what we say. Now, I may be sick of people writing off one of my favourite villains in the show as being worthless, but one person making a big deal about it honestly doesn’t matter to me. I don’t give a damn anymore, I’ll just get on to writing my Storm King fanfic now and ignore anymore naysayers.
