Starlight Glimmer (PRACTICES MAGIC WITH STARSWIRL AND IS NOW EVEN MORE DISGUSTINGLY OP/Adopted Cozy Glow)
Queen Chrysalis (Reformed by Sunset Shimmer/Has a new Hive right outside Ponyville/Occasionally REEEEEE’s at Starlight)
Maud Pie (ROCKS/Has also married Mudbriar, yea, that is definitely something that happened)
Cozy Glow (Has no living parents/Still an EDGY AS FUCK TROUBLEMAKER/Considers Starlight her only friend)
Sunburst (Teaches Flurry Heart Magic/HE FINALLY COMBED HIS FUCKING HAIR/Has developed a huge crush on Sunset)
Trixie Lulamoon (Still that beta bitch we all know and love/Is much stronger due to Starlight teaching her magic)
If the mane cast of G5 was this, I would be extremely happy. With these characters in the spotlight, in my opinion, G5 could be just as good or even better than G4. How do you think a series staring these 7 characters would go? Would you enjoy it?

Well g5 is somewhat considered soft report.
Yeah when I said that, I was aware that eqg’s end was as near as g4’s, and considering the fact that it ended on such a stupid idea of having the human 7 dress in ridiculous food theme dresses.
Technically G5 is not a continuation yes it’s the same universe but not a direct sequal.
It’s takes place centuries later And no g4 character appears outside of a toy

G4 has been running for 8 years now right? So some girl could have been 8 years old when G4 first aired and now she’s a teenager now, so Yah, your argument checks out.
My guess is business/marketing reasons. I mean, I’m sure Hasbro and the showrunners appreciate us and all (to some extent), but don’t forget that their priority is their target audience - little girls. Many of G4’s target demographic are growing up.
At least, that’s what I think is the reason.

Which is why they’re making a movie of MLP being rebirthed into g5, simple as that.
Not really same ponies or characters. Just same names. Spike has been there since G1. If Transformers has Arcee, MLP has Spike.
