I don’t think Spike is that much younger than Twilight, I think that Twilight’s only about 6-7 years older than him. The reason Spike seems so much younger than Twilight is probably because the dragons seem to age very slowly.

Hope Season 9 rocks!

To me I found this moment extremely touching Spike but his heart and soul into his song for Rarity and she was deeply moved by it,this is my favorite moment of the special.
 
Now down to business I do hope he be Rarity future husband (when he older)but you could say it 50\50.Yeah like some of you said it likely he might be with her or not and friendship does evolve into love.  
If it does have a conclusion and Sparity doesn’t happen to me he might be with someone new who pops up,some say Smolder but they have more of a big sister \little brother bond.All I can say we have to wait and see what happens.Let not forget that Hasbro told Josh Haber they want no loose ends in S9.

That depends on how old Twilight was when she hatched him and how old she is at the start of the series. Hence the trouble with it being so ambiguous. The Mane 6 are usually thought of as being somewhere in their twenties (at least if they were human), and Twilight was notably younger than the CMC when she hatched Spike. Spike could easily have been anywhere from ten to twenty at the start of the series, just to throw some numbers out.

It could be a nice lesson: friendship sometimes evolves into love, sometimes not.
 
Even kids could see themselves into it, since crushes aren’t teenagers and older people only realm (Spike even teaches that… how old was him when he fell for Rarity? 10?)

Isn’t the official word on the subject that they can’t have them in an official relationship because Spike’s age/maturity is too ambiguous? (Though that was said years ago and may no longer apply).
 
I mean sure a potential answer to that would be to let Spike get visibly older, but at present I don’t think we’ve seen any important character physically age in this series (wings only count for so much when the rest of Spike stayed the same), despite many references to characters like the CMC aging.

Spike is not gonna get over his crush (he may but I highly doubt it) or be in a relationship with someone else do the show bring about friendship, not romance.

I don’t care if you like or hate Sparity, no one can convince me that this hasn’t been so dragged into the ground over the years, that any appeal it may of had if it ever did, is so long gone at this point and I just want a conclusion, I don’t care what it is, if they end up together don’t care, Sparity fans already go around saying their ship is canon, clearly not being able to tell the difference between a relationship and a one sided crush from a kid on an older person, the only difference would be when Sparity fans say their ship is canon they will actually be right.
 
If they don’t get together then I at least want an episode that talks about it that gives us a somewhat satisfying conclusion, have Spike and Rarity talk about it, have someone help Spike move on from his crush, hell have Spike develop a crush on someone else to his shock someone who isn’t his perfect Rarity, making him realise his crush on Rarity was just that, a crush and that he shouldn’t have spent all this time taking it so seriously and that whether or not he ends up with her doesn’t matter, if he some how ends up being with Rarity than he will be very happy with that, if not and she ends up being with someone else he can learn to accept it, she’s his friend after all and he wants her to be happy and just because he didn’t get Rarity doesn’t mean he wouldn’t someday find someone for himself he’s still very young after all.
 
Just something that doesn’t make this whole Spike having a crush on Rarity and her maybe or maybe not knowing about it, being completely pointless since the very first episode.

On one hand I find it sad and it made me feel bad for Marble …on the other hand I’m not exactly feeling the MarbleMac pairing considering that they could be cousins.

I think the writers don’t mind pairing Big Mac with Sugar Belle because they are the recurring characters and not the main characters, plus we don’t see them that much anyway.

Exactly my point; I don’t hate Sparity per se, moments like this are cute, but its being motionless.  
I think the writers need to go full circle, in a way or the other.
