Strictly speaking, that’s speculation rather than canonical continuity. There isn’t any particular evidence that earth ponies are heavier and denser than other ponies (there’s evidence that they’re stronger, but that’s a different argument).

One of them is an earth pony, which is considerably more dense than Fluttershy or another kirin.
The only magic that we’ve seen the kirin do (if you discount going nirik) is just levitation/telekinesis. The fact multiple kirin are needed to lift the ponies suggest they can only lift so much by magic. (but then again , Autumn was trying to lift a couch…)

I think it’s less the kirins trying to force AJ & Fluttershy to conform to their standards and more them genuinely believing silence is the only way to end the fighting and the division between the two. The pained expressions they have when they are about to dunk thr pony duo into the stream of silence show how difficult a decision it is for them.

I guess that makes sense. Kirin magic works differently than unicorn magic.
When it is only one (we see Autumn moving stuff via tk) the aura around the stuff matches horn aura. It’s here that multiple tk use combined to form a single color.
