Why did you comment on a 2 year old image lol
Ohh
Because this was a dark time where I started spamming recolors. People got angry at me and started leaving downvotes. (Maybe on this image, haven’t checked the others in a while) I haven’t been doing this much anymore.
The word is “whomst’ve”, and I meant the image.
May I ask who?

First, sorry for the delay in responding to all of this - as some of you well know, we’re volunteers who are just doing this site for fun, so sometimes it takes us a couple of hours to figure out how to respond to something that we haven’t encountered before, which this definitely is.
We’ve had “pony generators” before, but we’ve never had anything like this. “ponyar fusion” is a very new kind of thing. Basically, anyone can go there and get the result of any specific fusion every time, without any variance - the results will be the same every time, just like you were using a search engine against a repository of stored images. It’s a little like other creators, but in this case there’s no artistic skill involve at all - you just pick two ponies from a list and poof done.
One analogy for this is the My Little Pony game, where people upload screenshots of every pony from the game. Or people uploading all the character images from a wiki. As a booru, we welcome those images. And since we’re using computers for this, getting the images as fast as possible helps the site return to normal use - fan artists uploading their own work - as quickly as possible.
But, again - this is something new, and we’re still talking about what the impact of these images on the site, and on the community here, really is.
For now, we aren’t going to delete these images.
But we are going to ask everyone who has been complaining on these images to filter the tag “ponyar fusion”, and if we see any of you continuing to complain on these images we will start banning people.
That will solve the problem some of you have had with your own fusion images not showing in your searches, and will hopefully defuse what appears to be some bad feelings that have been growing.
We are also going to talk, in private, with the uploader and will be setting some restrictions on how many of these images they are uploading at one time, or per day. That will hopefully solve the problem of the site being flooded by these automatically generated images.
If anyone has any questions or concerns about this, please PM me. I may not have the answers, but for now I am the point person on this, I guess.
I’m sure the mods are looking at you just the same for antagonizing the person the way you have been. Are they in the right for what they have done? No. Are you in the right for the way you have acted? No. You’re being as much of a duck by being rude.
@Th3BlueRose
Canon is still canon, and claiming as such, even after recoloring is something Hasbro could pursue if their bloodhounds seen all of that. As for JayCee, that’s up for moderation to decide if what they have done violates site policy or not.
This discussion has been going on for far too long and should really be discussed in the forums.
Maybe. You can try to guide them but in the end it’s up to them on what they’ll do. I sense a possible ban in the future if this continues.
Also, the site they use is not that bad, it’s actually pretty good for a recolor generator, the problem here is JayCee claiming these recolors they’re generating with a website, not something they recolored themselves, as OCs and also claiming they’ll stop. I’ve recolored stuff before (with f2u vectors) but I always do my best to link back to the source if I upload it anywhere, but I’ve never claimed a recolor as my own work or OC. That’s the main issue here. JayCee is using a generator and claiming they did the work and also claiming the result as an OC.
I’ll concur to that, they would have to start off with a clean slate, though still giving guidance to prevent things like this in the future would be a good thing to do.
Unfortunately, I highly doubt anyone will take JayCee seriously after what they’ve done with this recolor spam. If they were to upload original content under a new name or on DeviantArt, they might have a chance
yeah i always draw with a mouse.
That’s how I started out, using a mouse! MsPaint was my best friend for years! On dA, people would call me the MsPaint wizard, ahaha! But I don’t use it anymore, since i have a samsung tablet now. X3 I loved the old MsPaint…I think mine was 2001’s version.
If you need advice on what to do, hit up the forums. Many users would be glad to point you in the right direction if you get stuck and help you to a certain extent. If you are striving to be a big name artist in the future, then start with pencil and paper. Need help on where to start with that? Plenty of artist tutorials on youtube! Is gaming your thing? Pony Town, Fallout/Elder Scrolls ponfied, Legends of Equestria, and Minecraft are just a small list of games that are already pony or can be ponified through modding are typically well received around here. If you know how to do any 3D modelling, creating clothes and things for Fallout/Elder Scrolls and even Second Life can be a major benefit in the long run. If music is your thing, Audacity is free and there are a lot of free programs on the web that you can use to make your own samples and loops (though getting a USB MIDI keyboard is the best bet in this case…). Creativity is something to let your mind run wild about, and when you really sit down and plan things out, you can bring all 3 together and make something wonderful. Just as in with life, everything is up to you.

Digital art might be tricky for a beginner, especially if they don’t have the proper tools for it (using a mouse to draw with sucks xD).
