On one hand, these comic designs are very nice and it probably would’ve been cool for people who read the ponyville mystery books to see it come to life
On the other hand, while I’m not biggest fan of them yet, the new designs are more unique well as these ones do kinda just look like Lyra & Bon-Bon’s moms

Yep. But beacuse “MuH HeAdCANoN AnD MuH FiCs” They continued to deny it.
But when they finally saw it, they acted shocked for some reason.
the funny thing is the episode actually gave me proof that just because we didn’t see him doesn’t mean they’re dead. because before that episode we never saw diamond Tiara’s mother same thing rainbow Dash’s parents(some people thought they were dead as well)
Same here. That scene felt like it confirmed her living at a home with a relative.
And even when the book and comics confirmed that she had a family, people still kept saying that she didn’t and that the stuff there didn’t matter. Even though the original book was written by people who also work on the actual show.

I remember one person even called people who didn’t believe they were dead freaks because people were thinking applejack’s parents were dead even though it was actually stuff in the show to imply they were outside of just not showing up
honestly if they’re supposed to be a couple in the episode then I think that the higher ups would not let them go any further than just hinting it
You can watch the episode and not know they’re lesbians, but you can’t watch the episode and say they look the same as the comic. So, the latter, their sexuality is completely superfluous to the story and if its deleted nobody would notice, but their appearances being changed is something anyone can notice.
Yeah people just got so attached to that idea i guess…
it still amazes me how desperate some people got for that. no joke there were people who seriously thought the house we saw in flight to the finish was the Ponyville orphanage I even saw someone’s give the idea that the house was abandoned
