That seems like one of those things where if an SJW were to here it from multiple black people instead of respecting there wishes they’d just say that they have “internalized racism” and “need our help” and proceed to ignore them and treat them like helpless infants

Alot of black people I’ve known/seen don’t like the “politically-correct” term either. Especially if they aren’t from Africa, and American-born.
 
One time, my friend Anna’s teacher in college was refered to as “African-American,” and she got annoyed, then made everyone in class to call her “black” at the same time.
 
I’m actually part Chereokee, (I’m a mix of a few races) but I don’t care if people call me “Indian,” or “Native American” personally.

I’m “African-America,” but if you call me that I’d think you’re being pretentious. All of my black family and friends prefer being called “Black,” and we also refer to the white South African in our school an “African-American.”

Please. If you didn’t want to be judged on your appearance, you wouldn’t adopt a name based on it.
