I give you: Merriwether Williams as a pony, and isn’t she just adorable?!
I always preferred zelc-face’s ponysona design for Williams, rather than the ones that serve as a constant reminder of her weakest episode. So I made a vector of her from the poster.

Hmm there’s idea, maybe thethunderbolt can strie at the point where the black line just starts turning to color. Or it could strike the end of the quill at the beginning of the line

Ohhhh yeah. It was, but it was also quite funny, like I said, half and half.
That’s a really great idea! You gave me an idea for the quill, I think on one half I’ll have the barbs fade from black to light gray, starting from the bottom. Then I’d make the other half fade from red to violet (rainbow), only this time from top to bottom. I might also do the line being written by the quill “changes from black to colorful”, but it all depends. If the quill is vibrant enough in it’s own right I’ll leave it. If I feel it could be bigger and/or more showy I’d add the fading line.

Ok, apparently, Camp Lazlo was a lot darker than I remembered. Now that I think about, that show did had some pretty disturbing episodes.
So, you said “more mature tone sparkled with a little comedy” that’s where I think the quill (which I previously called “feather thing”, I can’t believe I forgot that word.) would work. Most feathers are grey or white and those are stereotypical serious and mature colors, like “Oh, once we grow up we’ll paint everything white and wear gray suits every day” or something like that, in my opinion tht could work to show the “cynical” side of her stories. Now for the slight comedic side, I’m not enterily sure just what to use. Maybe having a couple barbs of the feather be vivid colors or maybe have like a little line being written by the quill that changes from black to colorful, or something. As I said before, I’m not sure.

Haha, you and I must have different interpretations of comedy, the only episode of hers that I think she was trying to write comedy was SAYS. Most of her episodes take on a more mature and cynical tone lightly sprinkled with comedy. Thus the double edged sword with a darker and lighter side; just like her writing.
I might go with a quill and pencil since she’s one of the writers of many late 90’s early 2000 cartoons. or maybe I’ll be give her salt and pepper shakers (light and dark) * shrug* Morrow has a bacon CM.
Well… she’s a writer, so either a pen or a pencil, maybe one of those feather things if you’re feeling old fashioned, and she mostly writes comedy so either you should make the pen/pencil do wierd scribbles, like, a sketchy smiley face or something or you can also paint it outlandish colors, to make it seem more “fun”.
You might want to slow down around the midpoint of Season 3. Things start to get heavy after that.

Tomorrow I’ll start designing a different cutie mark for her; would that make her give off less Finn vibes? The hat’s staying though, as the only photo of Merriwether we have she’s wearing Finn’s hat.

joking aside, I actually realized the similarity right around as I was finished vectoring her. I think it was the cutie mark that made me pause and go “wait a second…”. This is Zelc-face’s version of her not Finn, but I don’t think it’s a stretch to say they probably did design her with Finn in mind.
