Yes. I may bitch about ships a few times, but I never say they’re invalid, and I’ve seen people who say their ship is canon but then describe it like a headcanon. It’s silly at best, and annoying at worst.

Ok it’s one thing to fight a bout ships. That’s a give in. But when you say things along the lines of “you should abandon all hope now” or “my ship is the one true path” you start to come off as a jerk. You can tell me to stop pairing the two gods all you want but your not going to stop me just like how I can’t stop you from doing your thing
It’s something different. CheerieMac was never explored in every season since S3 with at least one shipping tease or comic about them. It’s more like Sparity but with more approval from the writing staff so it doesn’t look like just a gag for fun but actual development. Anyway, enough of it. We already have Trump above our heads, we don’t need more hate and should end it as it is.

That was just an animation gag, while the blushing was an official statement made by the writers. McCarthy was the writer of the episode with “flower scene” and she didn’t approve this as shipping.

Thsoe twitter mean nothing, Sabrina doesn’t work on the show and she said on her Deviant art that it was just a joke. Same with Amy Rogers. It also happened 3 years ago and McCarthy and Vogel proved many times that they prefer FlutterCord which was implied as official because no pairing ever, even those most popular were ever teased with blushing in the same context as these two. You don’t want to believe me, but it’s going to be explored in Season 7 and in comics and it’s not just a one shot teasing. Dislestia is a lost cause and can’t never reach beyond fanon as much as Cadance will never be with Sombra.

He never said that about Discord and FS, only about Vapor and Sky. But Jim would say so about every pair that wasn’t married. When asked about Discord/FS relationship, he chose to not reply when he could simply say it’s frinedship like with other ships.
I think you’re just seeing a ship when there isn’t one. Even Big Jim himself said they weren’t a couple.
They were implied theres some attraction in the finale no matter how you look at it. Maybe it’s too far from official canonisation but in this show its far more confirmed than the status of LyraBon or SkyTrail. They are few steps from Cadance/Shining official shipping and it need to be respected.
You do know that Discord/Flutters aren’t dating, and are just close friends in the canon. You’re the one seeing their interaction as romance. And yes, some interference is needed for Discord/Celestia to work, but that could be said for most ships. Almost no characters show romantic interest, so shipping them requires a change from their canon counterparts. As for canon ships, aside from the movies that are semi-canon like the comics, there are Shining/Cadence, The Cakes, the parents of the Mane Six, and that’s about it. No real hatred towards these guys as far as I know.
I’d actually not have a problem with any mane nor supporting character getting into a relationship for reals and not for lulls; Best Night Ever, Simple Ways; but I’d hazard we are the few who, eh, wouldn’t blow their smokestacks over an official ship. ^3^
although canon is usually always less liked by fans than fan shipping, i think that at this time, Bronies should support this more canon discoshy ship rather than fandom dislestia. Just because to show that they care about their favourites characters and their personalities. Matching him with Celestia would no bring Discord, Celestia and Fluttershy no happiness unless their entire backstories, emotional maturity, motivation and character progress in the show was rewritten.

Rarity never shown any romantic interest in mares, and AJ none at all, but Rarity/AJ is still a think. To put it simple, no one cares about the canon unless it benefits them. Also, Discord/Celestia isn’t dead, just to you.
In canon, she’s the one supporting herself. Dislestia was already sunked in S6 finale. It’s all over.
