Or her dreams (assuming she gets that power sometime after sending Moon to the moon) help her cope with the past unaware they are future events. Not entirely sure what American event is comparable to Celestia being reclusive, but one could imagine Equestrian morale would have declined because Celestia lost her marbles for 600 years. :D

I think you’re right. She planned everything in advance. Everything that has transpired has done so according to her design, even her defeat by Chrysalis.
