Maybe she went to Celestias School for Gifted Unicorns (just like Trixie did according to Lauren Faust) but I can’t imagine her as another personal student. It wouldn’t add anything to this story at all.
In the press release posted on EQD about an hour ago that also gave S5’s premier date.
PS - If Starlight was a student of Celestia’s at all (I wouldn’t be shocked either way), there’s a good chance she might have been there before Sunset. We just don’t know yet.
