Actually, speaking from a position where I’d be able to see a lot of things? The fandom is very anti gay. Not like anti lesbian, but anti gay. Straight ships are left alone if it’s not a hated ship that’s crossed over like sanic with rainbow or something stupid like that.

… Dude. It’s a huge hiatus along with a ton of artists wanting content so they can draw porn. That’s all it is. Eventually the huge influx of gay porn will pass, some stupid tumblrs will be brought into existence only to be forgotten and abandoned at the drop of a hat, and people will instead focus on all of the other ponies.
