IMO, lovelyneckbeard’s artwork is better than IDW’s. This comic, despite some grammatical errors, is fantastic.

Luna didn’t want to let “bad guy” win so she decided to absorb him instead of letting him drain her all alicorn magic and escaping to real world but this ended with her changing in NMM (probably also in real world) but she still got her sane mind and filly Luna said that she can still be good/nice even if looks like NMM again.

Note that she doesn’t say “are Luna on the inside” but “Luna on the inside”. “to Luna” is a verb.

isn’t NMM magic mane is purplish also? maybe in artist headcanon when alicorn’s magic mane change shape to more physical (to simple mane) then maybe it’s color change a bit.
