Unicorn magic is easy enough for Chrysalis. Heck if Cadence and Shining Armor’s magic didn’t miraculously synchronize, nothing would of happened. Both of them were nearly drained.
 
Its unclear whether Chrysalis could of absorbed Twilight’s magic. The Element of Magic isn’t unicorn magic or alicorn magic, its full power is not controlled by the user, while unicorn magic is willed to happen. Current Twilight can only control a fraction, and Human Twilight can’t seem to control it all from the trailers. Its more similar to the avatar state. Its nature might of made it even easier to steal, but Chrysalis doesn’t know when to stop and she dropped the ball.

Changelings can “feed” off strong emotions of love (even different kinds of love), fear, etc.
 
Queen Chrysalis intended to feed of Twilight’s magic at first (perhaps this was never possible, or emotion draining is linked to magic as well) but changed her mind, so we don’t know FOR SURE if she can do it or not, but it is implied that she at least thought it was possible.
 
Also Chrysalis knows jack about how unicorns work, which is why she screws up her schemes so much.

Chrysalis can absorb a person’s magic indirectly by sapping their will if the person is weakened or gives up. Its what she planned to do to Twilight in the first comics to get a power boost, and its likely what she planned to do to Celestia after she was sealed in a cocoon. After all, if she couldn’t replace Celestia and Luna’s position, it wouldn’t matter if the sisters and Canterlot were conquered.
 
If I was to guess, its kind of an advanced version of the changeling ability to copy the basic appearance, responses and abilities of the pony they copy, but not much more then that.
 
But yeah, Chrysalis cannot absorb Nightmare Moon’s abilities until after Chrysalis beats her.
