So I guess that’s a no, huh. Well, I’m gonna keep guessing, because that’s the only interesting thing about the villain so far.
 
He’s a got a mask, so the reveal must be a big deal, and for that to matter it has to be someone of importance, not a random person. He’s also probably a bender. If it isn’t the councilman guy whose name I don’t remember… I dunno. I must be missing something easy.

I’m at the start of ep 6, where they announce they’re closing the pro bending arena. It has to be that guy. Or maybe I’m being played? I DON’T KNOW IT’S LATE AND I’M TIRED.
 
Anyway, what a good soap opera this season is so far.

So one thing I have noticed that the start of Korra is lacking are scenes with shirtless guys.
 
Anyways, I really liked Korra’s fight against councilman guy. This is part of the reason I can’t get into this conflict. Bending is cool to watch, taking away half of that makes the fights less interesting.
 
This makes me wonder how Blood Bending spread. Only Hama knew it before, I don’t think Katara would teach it to anyone else. I guess other waterbenders figured it out on their own?
 
Finished ep 9, so Amon isn’t councilman guy. Shame, it would’ve been funnier if he lead the taskforce meant to arrest him.

Alright, finished Korra Book 1. Villains pulled some Azula-level shenanigans but without the Azula-level charm. And silly Avatar shenanigans happened, but I’m okay with that. Zuko Iroh was badass, that was good to see. I was really expecting him to lose his shirt at some point. Even though I thought this whole conflict was pretty dumb, the way Amon went down was satisfying.
 
I like the new party well enough. I hope they get the kind of depth and development the first party did. I also want more teen drama stuff. And of course more interesting villains would be nice. Off to Book 2.

They were wondering how Amon was removing benders’ bending. The only one who can do it is the Avatar, who is a bender. So maybe Amon is also bender? It’s not a big leap. But I guess they couldn’t have done much with that knowledge early on anyway.

Season 2 is considered a bit of a low point, some feel the Drama doesn’t work and the Villain wasn’t as well received for not being voiced by Steve Blum having as much depth, but i think the Drama works when you remember Korra doesn’t know fucking shit about relationships and is in a bit of a fired up state because of Amon, Still no where near as strong as season’s 3 and 4,

It does a good job in some places, the twins are enjoyable and Bolin finally gets his spotlight,

Yeah, it’s the most interesting thing about this so far. Hope it doesn’t get too dumb, though.
 
One thing I would like to see is a Sokka-type character. I can accept the bending silliness that tends to come out of nowhere, but it’d be nice to have someone or something that can keep things grounded, like Sokka did in S2.
