To be perfectly honest, though, I didn’t even notice Zev was gone. I was too wrapped up in Fury-Belle’s faked SJW hacking to notice.
 
Though, as I mentioned once a long time ago, I’m not gonna question an artist’s decision to leave. Complaining about it and begging them to come back will just sour their opinions on us and discourage them from returning. He’ll come back on his own, if he ever chooses to.

Like I said. The whole thing was faked by catfood and Brutamod. Catfood was gonna take down the original Fury-Belle blog anyway and relocate, but he decided to yank our chain a bit before doing so. The blog will resume under a different name soon. Incestria Girls (also from catfood) is still active on a backup Tumblr.

And did you know Zev had a Deviantart account? I didn’t. Of course, it’s gone now, but still.
 
It’s a shame. He was finally becoming more accessible, and then this happens.

I know Mrwes never went DNP. But remember how he was on hiatus for a long time? Apparently, he had some sort of medical condition that caused necrosis in his internal organs. He almost died because of it.

As unlikely as it is, there is a chance he could come back. I’ve seen it before: I thought king-cheetah was gone, but he did come back eventually (albeit under the stupidest name imaginable). …But then again, he kept his FA account active while he was DNP.

These ninja DNPs are going to be the end of me. It’s fine if an artists requests for their removal, but why do we always need to keep it a secret even after they are deleted?  
I’m sure there is a better method.

Actually, they put him on the list about a day ago. According to the DNP forum list.

I’m seriously starting to question why the DNP system exists at all.

DNP is a courtesy to artists who, for whatever reason, don’t want their art on the site any more. Some artists don’t want their art up because they don’t like us. Some want to be able to control where their art is posted. Some might simply want to move on. Some might be facing personal issues that leave them no choice. These are all the legal right of the artist to decide.
 
That’s why DNP exists. It’s for the artists first and foremost. The alternative - not having it - would only lead to hostility between artists and the community.

Wouldn’t you think that if an artist is trying to remove EVERY copy of their work from the internet, it’s that somebody discovered their porn and suddenly they want to erase every trace that he drew pony porn?

As I’ve said, I’m not going to speculate about the reasons why he chose to do this- he’s the artist, so he has every right to decide how his art is used. All we can do is respect his wishes, whatever they may be.

Different people work different ways. Whatever made Zev come to this resolution, it’s his thing. Not ours’.

Okay, so Zev is now back apparently. The surprise is twofold for me because one, I didn’t expect him to come back at all, and two, he came back surprisingly soon– he’s only been gone for just over two weeks. Now I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, because it’s always a happy occasion with an artist who stops making art decides to resume, but I’ll admit that I’m curious about what made him overturn his decision.

I guess I just can’t relate to this since much of my family and friends know what I do…and that hasn’t stopped me from drawing and posting whatever I feel like.
