Hah I would have replied sooner but I decided to not post here while that luna vs celestia thing was going on. As dumb as it is, I wasn’t on the team I wanted to be on so I didn’t want to contribute.

Eitherway I gotta wonder realistically,how many saiyans were off world. I figure a couple hundred at least. I wonder if Toriyama knows.

Isn’t it still kinda weird that Krillin named his daughter after her?

Maron (one R) is a filler character. Marron (two R) is a canon character.

Marron was named to follow the name puns, in this case both Krillin and his daughter are named after chestnuts.

Maron and Marron having similar names is a coincidence, if anything a coincidence born from both Tori and Toriyama wanting to do the same pun.

Wait, there were actually two separate characters with almost the same name? Now that’s lazy writing.

There was a character named ranfan (i think) in og dragonball with a husband named Trunks.

That makes sense. For the longest time, I thought Krillin named his daughter after his ex.

Of course. I just had the wrong idea for the longest time, was all.

The Funimation dub had no reason they couldn’t have changed one of the Marron’s names, so I’m assuming they thought his daughter’s name was inspired by his former girlfriend.
