Maybe part, but not nearly fully. Cycles need a cynical mindset to survive, such as being hard on everyone because some people are hard on you.

There should be a trail type thing when you plan or want a new pet. So you can prove to be trusted with one of that species.
Like a robot of the animals that will document what you do with it. Like if you feed it when you have to, interact with it correctly and help you get used to having to do those things to take care of the animal. Then after about a few weeks to a month, you take the robot back to the shop/breeders/whatever, where it’s data will be downloaded and the experts/people in charge will say no/you need more research and not give you the animal, or say “yes” and give you it if you do a good job with getting in the habit of doing those things for it

Honestly I stopped caring about trying to have any kind of expectative at all for most things.
Nowadays I check only on myself and close friends and family.
In TV Tropes terms, I wouldn’t be optimistic, cynical or realist, I’m starting to lean towards apathetic instead. Better to only worry about things you can actually have an impact upon.

I can’t be chill all the time. Sometimes chill people get screwed over because most people are not chill.

Moreso that being “neutral” just means you let things happen and use “I’m being neutral” as an excuse to not intervene. It’s why we have the quote about how evil thrives by good men doing nothing.

Exactly my point, people like to guilt trip people like this.

I mean I don’t mean “neutral” in the sense of laying around and not doing anything about what’s going on, I mean that in the sense of I don’t like to be overly optimistic or overly pessimistic. I don’t like to blindly be naive and be ignorant of world problems by saying that “everything is alright” and I also don’t like to endlessly whine and complain about how “everything is bad” or “the world is shit” as if that’s gonna fix anything. I just like to live my life the way I want surrounded by friends and loved ones while acknowledging both the good and bad parts and cracking jokes to humor the situation.

I love watching street fights so much. Purely unscripted, hate-filled drama, and absolute primal action.

I think it’s “optimistic” where the issue lies, since you’re using it like it means naive and ignorant where I use it to mean hopeful.

Not just Russians. Ukrainians, Belarusians, Serbs, Bulgarians. I don’t get the appeal.

Seems more like hearing both or more sides out before making your own mind up which as far as I’m aware, one is supposed to do anyway (& also what Wayne said about people liking to guilt trip others, anyone can do that & is best to avoid & pay no attention to those sorts).
Humour is also good, we all need a laugh in our lives, especially with all the shit we’ve had to put up with these past 3 years.

Just rememeber while Europe was still in the Dark Ages, the Byzantines built Hagia Sophia, and the Kieven Rus’s population even commoners were quite literate especially compared to say the Franks.

Back then Eastern European civilizations were glorious civilizations to be feared and inspired especially with their golden domes. It wasn’t like today.

During Europe’s dark age, the Middle East was thriving thanks to the Islamic empire. Ages are all about relativity.

Yeah Western Europe in the Early Middle Ages was in its awkward puberty stage. They had to build up gradually before becoming powerful.

It’s ironic, in ancient times the East was considered advanced and civilized. While the Sumerians and Persians were making great cities, the Germanic people were still in their huts.
And now it’s seen as the opposite. Oh how time changes things.

It’s because history is written by the “victors,” and Greece was very petty.
