I haven’t heard of the situation. What’s going on?

Months ago, my brother was sent off to Miami with my then visting sister to take advantage of the better job market. He went very reluctantly since he was planning to spend the summer with his friends. Since this began, he had been miserable not only with adjusting to the adult responsibility of having a legit job(not an easy thing, I can tell you), but also intensely missing his mates here at home.
 
My mother has been callous to the latter issue the whole way through, suggesting time and time again that he just go out and make new friends, if she offers any advice beyond ‘just deal, you little bitch’ (paraphrasing).
 
So now she’s wary of him coming home for a visit, afraid he might refuse to be forced back.
 
‘Force’ being a key word in this shitshow.
 
As someone who’s never had many good or close friends, you can imagine whose side I’m on.

One thing I have learned is when you’re forced into a situation you know you cannot handle the stress of, that is going to backfire, and when it does he will be stuck in a completely alien place with no family or any of his close friends to help him get through those tough times. Getting a job is nice, but keeping it is the important part. It sounds like your mother means well, but she’s going about this all wrong. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. This isn’t her being supportive or her being respectful. She sounds very dismissive of the cares and concerns of her children, which can result in permanent damage to her relationship with them. If it isn’t important to her, it isn’t important at all, is what it sounds like. Correct me if I am wrong.  
I completely understand not wanting to care for an adult. Enabling somebody who really needs to stand on their own feet like that is detrimental to their growth. But it doesn’t sound like your brother was prepared well enough to fend for himself. It’s easy to demand things from a person, but it is better to set mutual expectations and guide them there.

Oh trust me, this is only the most current in a slurry of screwups that has left me and my brother cold to her.
 
Though he has been living with my sister, whom I must face facts, has never seemed the especially strict type, however supportive. He does have more freedoms with her, though I’ve always been worried a mite too much.

I kinda find myself sad after looking at videos where people break expensive stuff for entertainment.

I don’t find it nice to be so boastful about money nor umm… that we disrespect our tools this much.  
But that’s only my opinion.

I dunno. All I wish is that we were more ethically materialistic. I mean if you don’t use it or collect it why don’t give it away etc. I just don’t understand. Things are made to be used. I am sure somebody would have been happy with that ps4 that just got smashed.
 
I mean I would. lol Sometimes I can get too sensitive for stuff, I guess.
