Yes, and the fact that a lot of people whom might be criminally inclined cannot be arsed going to the police station with a friend and a family member to prove that they are sane in order to get a licence

I don’t really like bullpup guns because reloading feels awkward. I’m used to the AR platform anyway.

I have a soft spot for revolvers. There’s something about them that intrigues me. Wish it wasn’t almost impossible to get a license here.

A friend of mine collects war stuff and has a few of those. Three from WW2, if I remember correctly.

I believe your country used them during both World Wars. In fact, UK was one of the last countries in the west to transition to pistols.

well, you can carry as much bullets as you want, all we need is six shots, and we get the job done

For today’s military and police purposes, 6 and 7 shots simply won’t cut it. Most pistols nowadays carry like 15 rounds chambered in 9mm Luger.
 
I have a fascination for WW1,2 and Cold War weapons. Especially stuff from Germany and Russia.

UK seems to be quite slow in updating their equipment. Remember the Enfield L85?

Our Arctic Patrol still uses the Lee Enfield rifles.

At least those are still good. The L85 is notorious for being unreliable and bulky. Can’t fire more than a hundred rounds without jamming or breaking.

I hear L85 was a terrible rifle. It was what replaced the FN FAL in British service.

The British use the L1A1 version of the FAL. A semi-auto only version.
 
They also use various rifles and SMGs from H and K.

A new SMG made for the Philippine Navy to replace the old M3 Grease guns. It is chambered for 9 mm parabellum. Has an effective range of about 100 meters and a muzzle velocity of about 400 m/s. It can fire about 800 rounds per minute.
 
There are also semi-auto version for civilians. I guess they’re called carbines by then.
