I feel as if I’m being ignored.
I’ll ask once again. What is your opinion of the power grabs by the GOP in Wisconsin, Missouri, and Florida where they are effectively declaring that the will of the voting public is null?
And to head you off at the pass, as I know you’ll attempt to turn it around on me and get me in a catch 22…
My opinion on deplatforming is that a company needs a damn good reason to deny services. Violations of the ToS, if real, should be enforced. And, ultimately, the company has the will to do as they please with their user base.
That being said, I believe they are applying this principle too liberally. I dislike bowing to the shareholders, and fear it sets a dangerous precedent. Stupidity is best battled in the light, after all. So, while companies have the right to autonomy, and technically deplatforming is something they have the legal right to do, I believe they are overdoing it.
