The prediction Styxhexenhammer666 made concerning the 2017 Unite the Right rally and the fall of the Weimar Republic really doesn’t work when you take into account the hyperinflation in Germany at the time, the public hatred of the Weimar Republic for having relations with the victors of World War I, and the loophole
Laws enacted by the government of the Reich may deviate from the constitution as long as they do not affect the institutions of the Reichstag and the Reichsrat. The rights of the President remain undisturbed.

that had allowed Hitler to do what he wanted when he was appointed Chancellor.
I can agree to an iota of a degree with him that the left and the right need to be put at fault for the violence that happens between them as President Trump had possibly done and that a non-interventionist, populist–in the normal sense–government is needed, but I can’t agree with his apocalyptic prediction based on a faulty comparison.
I can’t see the left or the right being in absolute power because, to say it again, a loophole is what allowed Hitler to do whatever he wanted without legislative permission, and I know of no such loophole in American law, unless, if you want grasp at more straws, the left or the right can get most state legislatures to agree with them on every ratification of every amendment they propose; the left or the right can take over state, federal, or both types of governments; or the United States of America falls apart because of revolutions by the left and the right. At those points, they are just typical alarmist predictions.
