Apparently James Stephanie Sterling has never, ever seen anyone defend Bobby Kotick, that’s how much of a reprehensible scumbag he is. (At this point I should be the writer of Starcraft III, I actually have ideas for Saul, Stone and Johnny)

In fairness Yuza was basically pirating their newer games, like “Tears of the Kingdom” which isn’t cool either. I’m sorry, but that’s still copyright infringement, and piracy, and those are still crimes.
It probably wouldn’t of been a big lawsuit, if they just stuck to old obscure games, or something, but there’s still debate amongst gamers if even emulating old games is ok, or legal, but as far as the copyright owners are concerned it’s still taking their products for free, and Nintendo isn’t the only one who does this. Square/Enix even filed a C&D against a fan Chrono Trigger remake.
I admit Nintendo as much as I love them has done crumby things, but this is a little more understandable.

Notoriously Divine Tagger - Consistently uploads images above and beyond the minimum tag requirements. And/or additionally, bringing over the original description from the source if the image has one. Does NOT apply to the uploader adding several to a dozen tags after originally uploading with minimum to bare tagging.

It’s why gaming archive or ROM sites often avoid very recent games in their selection.
I think one even prohibits 3DS games which is probably a bit excessive, but it shows a good point. That trying to get too involved with recent games could land you in trouble.
Metroid Dread had a good share of controversy for instance.

I remember Kotaku had an article encouraging pirating “Dread.” Nintendo understandably stopped sending them free review games in response, and stopped collabing with them.
Kotaku even tried to get back at Nintendo by posting articles spoiling “Tears of the Kingdom” out of spite. Ironically, it backfired, because people got mad at Kotaku instead over that, because they were spoiling some things in their thumbnails.

The most obscure computer game I can remember is Broderbund’s “Write, Camera, Action!”. Basically it teaches you about how movies are made, with the main goal to finish shooting and editing an in-game movie that parodies “The Maltese Falcon”.

It was because they claimed it looked better on other hardware, but honestly, it still looks great on Switch, and has a great framerate.
I get kinda tired of hearing how we need supercomputers, 500FPS, Super duper HHHHD, and such to apreciate games. (It reminds me of the “bit wars”) Honestly, game graphics don’t look much different to me, and 30FPS games still look impressive to me.

60fps is objectively better than 30, and if you play more games at it you’d never go back. Games today should at least be hitting 60.

A lot of issues regarding Yuzu could have been avoided if the team behind it didn’t do dumb shit like building a Patreon and locking updates and features behind a paywall.
Personally I’m more upset that Citra got caught in the crossfire and was killed as a result. It’s the best 3DS emulator so far but got completely neglected so the team could work on Yuzu instead so there’s still a lot of games that are difficult or impossible to play like SF643D and Tales of the Abyss. Hopefully other emulators can pick up the slack
@Beau Skunky
We’re really in the era of diminishing returns as far as graphics and visuals go. I’m perfectly fine with games simply being 1080p, games don’t need to be 4k and just serves to make games and game development more expensive than they need to be. But while I’m perfectly fine with 30fps, most consoles are more than capable of running at 60fps and it should be the bare minimum devs should aim for

RE 1 remake is the best if you want to experience the classic gameplay.
RE 2 or 4 remakes are among the best in the series.

STOP PROJECT 2025!
@Dustcan
I’ve heard that 7 was meant as an outright reboot to the series with some light references to previous events without outright specifying what took place but then they decided to just make it canon to the rest of the series during the last portion of the game.
