The only part of Engage that was actually full-on changed in the English version (not recontextualized) was the option to romance Anna. I highly doubt that’s a hill that anyone wants to die on though, because she’s a fucking kid.

I mean most characters in Engage hero-worship the player character because they’re a divine dragon. At least the character is as weirded out by it as the player would be.

The final set of Strangers of Paradise Final Fantasy DLC let’s you play as the Warrior of Light and actually beat Garland, finally coming full circle on this AU prequel. Another DLC brings in The Emperor for you to fight.

I really can’t wait for this to come to Steam.

Here’s a more unbiased google doc that goes over the changes. One of the biggest changes is Fogado going from “My love for you is bigger than the desert” to “I’ll be your ally”. Personally, I think a 17 year-old romancing an 11 is disgusting so Ana changes aren’t a deal breaker, but “recontextualizing” romances of the same age is annoying and pointless.

So gameplay footage for the next Dragon Age was leaked a little while ago. I have no issue with the direction they are planning to go with the gameplay.
