Video Game General 2: Definitive/Remastered Edition

Marathon, the I-Can’t-Believe-It’s-Not-Halo’s-Prequel game, is now available and free on Steam. Marathon 2 and Infinity will be released soon, also free.

I speedrun cult of the lamb sometimes and I’m happy to report I beat my previous record of 11h with just under 10h (9h 52m exactly). I also figured out a few ways to cut some more fat and spend less time idle I might be able to get it down to 9h 30m

So the next DBD update is D&D related. I’m guessing Dark Urge killer and Alfira as the survivor.

The Thrones of Decay DLC for Warhammer 3 adds a grapeshot alt fire for Malakai’s cannons, which is something I’ve wanted for years. Imagine a cannon that shoots pellets like a shotgun. Shorter range, but gloriously effective. One volley erases 2/3 of a unit’s health and usually routs them.

There’s been leaks related to Vecna.

Many people thought it meant another Stranger Things chapter, same as how Resident Evil got 2 chapters. But if they doing DnD then it might be that Vecna instead.

Let’s go! Let’s see one of DnD’s top gods get punked by some sassy teens slapping him with pallets. Let’s see the guy who reshaped the multiverse at least twice - and is the canon reason why different editions have different rules - play Ring Around the Rosy because he can’t handle Chest High Walls.

Seems like Sony didn’t learn from the BS they tried to pull with Helldivers 2

Ghost of Tsushima got ported to Steam a few days ago, and that game is also requiring a PSN account in order to play it, which means that like with H2, countries where you can’t make a PSN account are unable to play the game

Steam is also apparently issuing out refunds for the game, regardless of when it was bought or how much playtime is logged in

Who the idiot that keep suggesting this idea.

Some people are reporting getting refunds for a purchase as far back as February and with 100 hours of play.

The devs themselves are even lowkey endorsing it.

They also previously asked gamers to hold off on buying their game until they expand their servers a few months back, since they didn’t foresee the game’s explosive popularity and only like a quarter of players were even able to get a match at the time.

These guys are insanely customer friendly.

I was talking about Steam giving refunds for Ghost of Tsushina tho

also technically I’m the world champion in my speedrunning category because literally nobody has run the game on medium with the recent update. all of the world record runs clock in at an hour but they all use the initial release which had quite a few broken mechanics.

It took me 7 tries, but I finally did it in Baldur’s Gate 3.

I managed to save all the prisoners in the Iron Throne. Gave Laz a scroll of magic doorway, had her solo her way to the Duke and teleport his happy ass out of there, Shadowheart and Gale went right to save all the Gondians and got back with the help of heel click and speed potions. My Tav went forward, dropped dance macabre in the room that spawns the fish people and used flight to get my boi Oulumm.

That was fucking nuts.

I’m getting close to that myself (near the end of act 2). I do have every companion in my party so I should have a easier time with that.

Putting in almost 60 hours in a 2D platformer that came out a month ago sounds fucking nuts, doesn’t it?

So anyways, I managed to do that with Freedom Planet 2…

I’ve heard people outright say that the gaming industry needs another crash.

Not sure how I feel about that stance…

I’m a lucky soul. I’m still stuck im 2009 with how I play games.

No matter how much the gaming sphere is burning now, I can just play my PMD and Medal of Honor Frontline.

I say it because it’ll be like a controlled burn to remove the weeds and underbrush. in fact I argue it crashed years ago but gaming has become so much more profitable overall that nobody noticed it.
