And Brother I Hurt People
There’s an alternate universe where everything is the same except, at one point in time, zebras were taken as slaves. Zecora is Fancy Pants’ slave, but the two are actually quite close friends.
Everything is Celestia’s fault.
This fic
Shameless plug for a fic that I really think deserves some attention, I did not write it or edit it, I had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with it.
I just feel that it deserves some attention and that it really does fit here. I won’t spoil it but it definitely is a crazy headcanon.
And just so everyone knows, most of my crazy headcanons I post are just ideas I had for fics but I lack the ability to write canon characters so I just post them here and let people have a go at them if they want.

Anything pig-intellect and below is legal to eat in equestria.Griffin lands are complicated. There are large safe zones for creatures of the hooved sort, but then there are “hunting grouds” where anything unprotected by another griffin is fair game. Anygriff who gets a pony there is clear for chowing down.
@The_Mungoman
Unfortunately, Unicorn horn derived medicine are illegal in Equestria due to obvious ethical reasons.
@SeraphimDawn
Most of the earth pony and the pegasus population is pretty baffled by that, though.
whoops something else then.The music Vinyl played in her appearance was the first of it’s kind. From there on, she ushered in a new genre of dance music that was later named “Stable”, after a popular club she played at, “The Round Stable”i.e. Vinyl is the Frankie Knuckles of Equestria.
Why? It’s pretty damn hard to justify hacking off part of a unicorn’s skull, even if it makes powerful medicine.
@YetAnotherBrony
They grow back. We’ve seen Rarity having her horn filed down, so we know that horns keep growing. The only question is how quickly alicorn grows.
@YetAnotherBrony
Okay, you may want to look up horns. Most horned animals, but not all, have a bony bit at the base that the rest grows around, so that’s normal. Thing is, as long as the horn button is still there, the horns can regrow, and it can be pretty hard to get rid of that. Cauterization is the only thing that’s really guaranteed to do the trick. Some animals. like rhinoceri, can have them sawed off repeatedly and keep growing them back without trouble, so even cutting the entire thing off isn’t guaranteed to stop it from coming back. Complications can be an issue, of course, when a large part of an adult horn was lost.A living horn isn’t some delicate instrument. It’s being used, and it needs to be able to repair from damage.Just for reference, rhino horn grows about nine centimeters a year. Assuming the same, and given the fast recuperation that ponies have shown, I’d assume faster is more likely, that’s maybe a year to recover from having it cut off.I’d assume something like sideways goat horns, myself. They could have their horns removed and cauterized as kids, but as adults they will keep growing new sections, that keep twisting, and could recover from having the later sections removed just fine. Something worth thinking about is that some horns are probably wobbling as they grow, and need either something like a brace to keep straight, or regular trimming to avoid a displeasing form. A filly or colt having to wear braces on their horn is just a funny idea to me.Incidentally, unicorns as young as a month old can use magic, so the amount of alicorn needed for spell casting is pretty small. An adult with even most of their alicorn snipped off should be fine.It’s entirely possible that adult unicorns are removing the older parts of their horns as a matter of course, simple to avoid having to deal with aged and delicate tips.
