This brown pony from Manehattan appears in several chapters and doesn’t have a name either.

As mentioned here, we kind of have her name (assuming a knowledge in Spanish and have a keen eye for compressed children’s handwriting)
She was one of the contest winning OCs.
Even if no one is able to interpret what exactly the name is supposed to be, my preference would be using a name that at least resembles the intended one (Two-part name, a couple of the visible letters).

If nothing else, we shouldn’t use Muffin Whooves, since that name refers to an entirely different pony and I don’t want another “Flare de Mare” situation.

The handwriting under “Nombre de tu Pony” is meant to be her name. It’s just…not the easiest to read, especially not for someone without a context for the language like myself.

While I understand taking some license if the only available text is practically unintelligible, I don’t think it makes much sense to go in an entirely different direction when we at least have the framework.

Yo, there’s a Zipp ride!
EDIT: But why do people think it’s “Muffin Hooves?”
EDIT: I think the last two letters are “se”. I’m now trying to see how similar other written characters are that are easier to make out.
And are the first letters “Am”?

EDIT: But why do people think it’s “Muffin Hooves?”
TBF I don’t think anyone is interpreting the handwriting as “Muffin W/Hooves”, it’s just that someone suggested the name based on a mentioned pony on one of the G5 in-universe movie posters. And, well…this being a contest OC we know for a fact that they are not the same pony, so we shouldn’t give them the same names.
I’d been focusing on the slight-more-legible second name, and “Ha***tse” is about the best I’ve figured. Or maybe that H is an “M”?
This pony should not be on the polls, is what I’m getting at. :p

It’s actually Mayan and impossible to translate.
It’s actually Mayan and impossible to translate.
That is to say, the girl submitted her work in Spanish, but chose to associate the character with something Mayan. For roughly “What is the pony doing?” I think, she’s saying it’s celebrating Mayan culture, and they do have a lot of body painting that gets really elaborate, so I think she was trying to emulate that. There are celebrations in Mexico dedicated to the culture.
.
I can separate some of the letters and maybe distinguish possible words, but it’s likely she misspelled at least 2 words. “xts” and “xii” are acceptable arrangements of letters in Mayan which explains some of the lettering in the name.
.
WTB, she already has porn?

Agreed. Now that I know what she’s emulating, the design is far more creative than… well unpleasant things I would’ve said.

^ Resplendent Quetzal
The resplendent quetzal is an exotic bird from the Maya region sporting turquoise and green colors, multi-hued wings, and sporting a crest with long train of feathers (males, but whatever, accounts for the green in the original). It was considered sacred by Mesoamerican civilizations believed to be a spirit guide for a Maya prince.

It’s been three months since the last time i tried to broach the subject - it must have been months since she was introduced and if we keep waiting, she’ll probably never get a name.

Another thing you can take into consideration is that this pegasus is also supposed to be described as an alebrije, but this is lost when dijitalizing and interpreting the child’s drawing, that’s why it has so many colors.
Image only used as an example, Its recommended to see the link

Good idea; not Maya specifically but also reasonable. I can’t find an/the Alebrije that would suite a Pegasus or at least the thing in the photo.

The alebrijes are basically “chimeras” of other animals, in this case the base is a pegasus and I suppose that if you look at the original drawing the tail is from another animal.
But it doesn’t matter, honestly only the child who drew this knows what he wanted to do (^ワ^;)

Oh, I assumed the alebrijes had subcategories, like fairies or gnomes are “fae”.
