Is this grimdark? Looks like there might be some gore/death there, and the fanfic it’s referencing seems dark, but I’m not confident.

Semi-grimdark, perhaps. It looks like there’s blood on the pink pony’s hooves, and maybe on the ground, and the yellow-orange pony looks like they’re either hurt or possibly dead, but it’s not obvious or being depicted in an explicit and gruesome manner.

I swear some artists are so afraid to show any kind of horror they feel the need to obscure what’s going on to the point where it would make more sense as food left in the forest. It’s semi.

I had some more “older X” tag implications that i was going to put in the Older character thread but since that got locked, I guess I should post them here

What’s the purpose of the romana tag, exactly? I can’t really spot an obvious pattern between the images tagged with it beyond the presence of a background character.

Originally use for Colgate in the early days in the fandom, though as if recent, it seems this pony is using it now.

To further explain, it’s another Doctor Who reference, since both Colgate and that pink BG pony have the same hourglass cutie mark as Doctor Whooves. The original Romana was a female Time Lord from the pre-revival show.

Is just mentioning a burning orphanage actually enough to make this semi-grimdark?

Trapped in a car with no means of escape, the main protagonist mercy kills the survivors in the car. Unable to kill himself due to missing one more bullet, he exits the car to see help arrive mere seconds after killing everyone.

“naked apron” doesn’t imply nudity. One of the pictures had “nudity” tagged, the other didn’t. After my interference, both now have “nudity” and are “questionable” due to the nakedness of the buttocks.
