Why did Lucas make anakin commit genocide upon an entire village in episode 2 again
Like it would be understandable but still shocking if he killed all the soldiers but the fact he wiped out an entire village just to get back at them for his mother’s death just seems so out of place
It ruins the shocking moments of episode 3 where Anakin gets all cruel and evil because he already done that shit before
I guess you can make the argument that it’s to show that he is capable of horrific acts to begin with due to his emotions but firstly

- it makes Anakin to be this evil figure way before he becomes Vader as I thought the whole point was that Vader was evil and Anakin was good or did ROTJ just got retconned ?
- Padme really shouldn’t be shocked that he murdered a bunch of kids causing he did the same thing like a few years back, unless she doesn’t like sand people
