I won’t deny that, and since I never seen The Wall myself (my cousin has, and told me that he’ll check out the review, so I should ask him on his perceptive on it tomorrow if he seen it), so my knowledge is very limited at the best. And I think this is a case of Death of the Artist, where a work is judged base on its own merits and not on any outside work? We are talking about the guy who avoided any mention of the Michael Jackson’s paedophilia claims other than a awkward moment when MJ is taking kids down a dark basement with their eyes close in his review of the MJ movie, so it’s not out of the question for him (though if you think that’s a good or bad thing in the case of The Wall is the question).
The tone I got from the song was that the teachers are trying to do well, but the article suggest that they still fail, and that the singer is still overreacting to them fucking up.
Maybe he reads it that way due to it having its beats followed by oscar bait songs afterwards, which would cause some similarities to form, as well as songs not made to be oscar bait used as such by a movie.
Again, never seen the movie myself, so I don’t know who is more accurate in this case. Still, unfortunate implications happen, and maybe he read them where you didn’t.
I never said he doesn’t fuck up, though it could be that whenever he’s mention on this site, it seems to piss on him more than he pisses on Stephen King movies, which has me on edge, plus how late it is for me and how tired I am.
I think I need to go to bed before I make even more of an ass of myself.
