I mean, has the right not gone batshit insane?
They endorse conspiracy theories at the drop of a dime.

No. They said they couldn’t arrest her even though there was circumstantial evidence of corruption surrounding her. THAT is why they couldn’t arrest her.

I’d prefer you link to a different source. I’d prefer not to get my news from late night left wing ideologues.
Last I heard, the people who plead guilty did so to crimes that didn’t involve colluding with the Russian government to influence the election.
Until someone is actually found guilty of collusion
When someone is found guilty you can tell me “I told you so” all you want, but please forgive my skepticism until then.
What has the investigation produced so far?
Within a month of his appointment, Mueller began looking into the question of whether Trump obstructed justice. On Oct. 30, 2017, Paul Manafort and his business partner Rick Gates — two former senior officials with the Trump campaign — were indicted on 12 counts related to their political consulting business, including money laundering. Also on that day, George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign aide, pled guilty to making false statements to the FBI.On Dec. 1, 2017, Flynn pled guilty to making false statements to the FBI about conversations he’d had with then-Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak. On Feb. 16, 2018, Mueller indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities on charges related to the 2016 election.Days later, Dutch lawyer Alex van der Zwaan pled guilty for lying to the FBI about his dealings with Gates and another unnamed person. He was later sentenced to 30 days in prison. On Feb. 22, Mueller upped the ante against Manafort and Gates with 32 new financial charges. Within days, Gates pled guilty to conspiracy and lying to the FBI. Manafort, however, has continued to fight his charges.Beyond these official acts, the Mueller investigation has publicly announced little about what it is doing, and leaks from its own ranks have been scarce to nonexistent. So its activities remain largely hidden.
Not that I think a different link would show anything we don’t already know.

You mean like Russia hacking our election? :^)
WASHINGTON – The Senate Intelligence Committee — in a major split with its House counterpart — said Wednesday that it agrees with U.S. intelligence agencies’ assessment that the Russian government tried to help Donald Trump and hurt Hillary Clinton by meddling in the 2016 election. That bipartisan conclusion was announced by Chairman Richard Burr, R-N.C., and Vice Chairman Mark Warner, D-Va., in a statement after a closed hearing with former director of national intelligence James Clapper, former CIA director John Brennan and former National Security Agency director Mike Rogers.…“The first task in our inquiry was to evaluate the intelligence community’s work on this important piece of analysis,” Burr said, referring to a report in January 2017 by U.S. intelligence agencies.“Committee staff have spent 14 months reviewing the sources, tradecraft and analytic work, and we see no reason to dispute the conclusions,” Burr said. “There is no doubt that Russia undertook an unprecedented effort to interfere with our 2016 elections.”– USA TODAY
The president has been hesitant to acknowledge that Russia interfered on his part, ostensibly out of fear that doing so would undermine his win.But now the Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee, which released its own assessment Wednesday, is contradicting the House report, saying that Russia did try to help Trump win.“+Our staff concluded that the [intelligence community’s] conclusions were accurate and on point+,” Sen. Mark R. Warner (Va.), the panel’s top Democrat, said Wednesday in a joint statement with Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.).– The Washington Post
Until someone is actually found guilty of collusion I don’t see a reason to believe this story.
28 CFR 600.4 - Jurisdiction.(a)Original jurisdiction. The jurisdiction of a Special Counsel shall be established by the Attorney General. The Special Counsel will be provided with a specific factual statement of the matter to be investigated. The jurisdiction of a Special Counsel shall also include the authority to investigate and prosecute federal crimes committed in the course of, and with intent to interfere with, the Special Counsel’s investigation, such as perjury, obstruction of justice, destruction of evidence, and intimidation of witnesses; and to conduct appeals arising out of the matter being investigated and/or prosecuted.

An ideologue is not someone who simply adheres to an ideology. I’m not so petty that I refuse to listen to anyone I disagree with politically. If that were the case, I would have to become a hermit. An ideologue is to politics as a fundamentalist is to religion. It connotes a level of self-righteous zealotry with scorn for anyone who disagrees.
This is the impression I get from John Oliver. In the videos I’ve seen from him, he seems dedicated to misrepresenting and mocking opposing views. He’s an comedian, not a journalist and it shows.
His job is to entertain. I’d rather get my news from someone who’s more interested in informing.
I’ll grant that I probably shouldn’t have used the word “collusion.” I’m aware it’s not a crime in and of itself but I used it for a couple different reasons. The first is that it’s the term the media keeps throwing around anyway.
The second is that I look at it as shorthand for at least one of a few different crimes: hacking the election
conspiring with the Russian government
, electoral fraud,
and any other related crimes
The world has become accustomed to Donald Trump, he is wearing them down. But dullness must not lead to normalizing and accepting its aggressive impertinence. The unproven allegation that the Federal Government and the state authorities would deliberately lie to the population about the true extent of local crime must not remain without consequences. His incitement of the rabid citizens is nothing more than the open attack of a foreign power on the government of this country. This White House is making a direct attempt to destabilise the Federal Republic of Germany.Angela Merkel has reacted far too cautiously to this threat. The Chancellor referred only briefly to the recent crime statistics presented by Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer - that speaks for itself. In fact, crime has fallen slightly, and if there is a German politician who cannot be accused of euphemism in this matter, then it is Seehofer. No, this US President has never been a partner, he’s a fierce opponent. We should start treating him accordingly. Appointing the US ambassador and formal protest can only be the first steps. Relations with this US administration should be kept to a minimum. It is also no longer necessary to continue to pretend to be friendly. Germany and the European Union should abandon any polite self-restraint in the public assessment of this US administration. The thread of conversation to her must not break, but it cannot be more than one thread. We have known for a long time that we can no longer rely on the USA under Donald Trump. Now at the latest it is clear: We must protect ourselves from him.
