I never really paid much attention to that part. Rockhoofs origin was just too terrible for me to take anything related to the pillars seriously.

How is it irrelevant? They gloat and scheme just as much as she did, my point is if discord or starlight can be seen as sympathetic or capable of reformation there is no reason Chrysalis can’t be as well she’s no worse than they are.

Go back and watch A Canterlot Wedding Pt. 2, particularly the parts where she cacklingly taunts Twilight in the caverns and gloats over the captive Bride and Groom. Discord and Sombra are completely irrelevant, because they don’t appear either in that episode or in my comment.

Please point to where she killed any pony any at all, she’s done nothing worse than any other villain in the show if anything Starlight was worse than her or even Discord who nearly ripped there friendship apart but is now best buddies with the mane six so saying she’s not sympathetic means either of them are twice as bad.

She said he wasn’t going to be a character, and he wasn’t– he wasn’t named in the script, the Flash Sentry character design was inserted by the storyboarders– long after McCarthy’s part in the episodes as Story Editor was done– and having Vince Tong voice Pegasus Guard #2 was likewise a gag inserted by the Casting department after McCarthy was done. Consider it a semantic difference after the fact if you want, the bottom line is still that McCarthy wasn’t being deceptive in the least, because once she was done with the season she had neither included nor seen any Flash Sentry.

She’s not sympathetic at all, she actively delights in torturing people; you might as well say any world leader is sympathetic because they’re trying to advance their nation, no matter how horriffic the human rights abuses they perpetrate to that end.

True. Honestly I don’t see the Changeling race as evil, more of just mindlessly following whatever their queen does. However considering that lil changeling we see in Slice of Life, there’s a possibility that maybe some are breaking out?
