Eh, whatever. If Starlight could be shipped with anypony other than Sunburst, it would be Flash Sentry. And before you start hating, I really think they’d go great together. You may now start hating me. I won’t mind. :)

It can be awkward to try to approach an old friend like that who you’ve felt so incredibly betrayed by, though. I don’t know if it makes it better or worse especially when you know those feelings of betrayal either are or aren’t justified.
 
I do really hope to see that, though. That would be fantastic. Heh. It’d be an interesting twist if he’d become a cold jerk over the years but Starlight softens him up. Not necessarily a repeat of “Amending Fences” - not too far from it, but with Sunburst having become something of a jerk instead of just a loner, and Starlight softens him up.
 
Maybe it’s just that hairdo that’s making me think of that XP
 

 
Heh, and maybe he didn’t write back because he was too embarrassed at having just run off like that with his mark, and somewhat confused as to why she didn’t follow him, then got so busy moving in to school and getting set to work…

It’s left ambiguous whether Starlight sent letters to Sunburst or not, but if she didn’t, it’s possible because Starlight feared they will be rejected. Hasn’t anyone else even considered this? I’m surprised if not, Starlight already felt shunned by Sunburst when he just walked away from her after obtaining his Cutie Mark and it really hurt for Starlight because she and Sunburst were extremely close friends. And if that is so, it’s understandable Starlight would think writing to Sunburst or looking for him would just make the situation, the sting of rejection, feel worse for her, because Starlight believes Sunburst no longer wants anything to do with her.
 
I will be disappointed if we don’t get an episode were Starlight is pushed to look for Sunburst in season 6 (it would, of course, be Twilight who convinces her) because, while Starlight is happy with her new friends, I doubt she would get over Sunburst just like that, he was once her best friend after all and so Starlight should be still thinking about Sunburst.

I really hope to see a little bit more of these two.
