The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@Scrounge: An excerpt from The Journal of the Two Sisters:

Celestia: They knew that Alicorns stood for everything Equestria was founded upon: love, harmony, and friendship. And because Alicorns are a combination of Pegasi, Unicorns, and Earth Ponies, they believed that we could represent the citizens of Equestria in an unbiased manner-all ponies being equal in our eyes. So they asked us to be their princesses.

This line heavily suggests that Equestria’s founders found about the Alicorns, somehow. As well as also suggesting that Alicorns have existed since before Equestria’s founding.

Also:

Celestia: Because Alicorns age at a different rate than the rest of the pony races, Luna and I don’t have our Cutie Marks yet. Being a “Blank Flank” at our age never felt unusual. I’ve always known that I would get my Cutie Mark at the proper time.

This heavily implies that neither Celestia or Luna have never known a time where they were anything besides Alicorns. Which, logically, would mean they were born as Alicorns.

Ald lastly:

Luna: See, when we ran and flew in the hills of Canterlot, we’d pretend we were princesses, and talk in The Royal We, being all formal and stuff.

This line pretty much tells me that Celestia and Luna grew up in Canterlot before they became princesses. So, unless Canterlot wasn’t considered as a part of Equestria when the two of them became princesses, I don’t see how Flurry Heart is “the first Alicorn baby in Equestria”.

And I brought up the figure of a millennium mainly because that seems to be the last anyone in-universe hears of any Alicorn besides Celestia and Luna at least before Cadence goes through her ascension.

It’d have to be more than a millennium. A millenium is how long Nightmare Moon was banished for, meaning Equestria was presumably founded by then, and Flurry Heart is supposedly the first alicorn baby in Equestria.

@Starswirl: I would imagine them saying that because there likely hasn’t been a natural-born Alicorn for roughly a millennium. Especially since it doesn’t look like either Celestia or Luna married. Adding to that, Cadence was originally born as a Pegasus. So…

@Kane: Luna explicitly mentions, in that book, that Alicorns gets their Cutie Marks later than the average pony. She describes herself as an Alicorn. And she and Celestia were indeed blank-flanked when they became princesses. That alone tells me they were born as Alicorns.

Also, why wouldn’t it be canon?

I said within they’re time. Though, them saying that has actually brought up many theories on weather even Celestia and Luna were born alicorns. The closest we got to an origin story of them is The Journal of the Two Sisters, but that didn’t even mention they’re parents or birth. And I’m not sure if that book is even canon

So, since it wasn’t specified that she was the daughter of Cadence and SA, let alone related to them at all, her story is fan made, which there is no chance of her being the daughter of Cadence and SA being canon. Though, if either the horn or wings are removed, her design could be used as a minor background character. But I would chose a much lighter shade of pink. But the chances of her being the child of Armor and Cadence is zilch, since that part was fanmade, even if it was a guess. Hasbro would never a fanmade theory or backstory as a major plot. Not even for an episode plot. As a matter of fact, No major company does that. Though she Could have been related to another alicorn family. But, the S6 premier just specified that an alicorn birth has never been seen within even Celestia’s and Luna’s time. And could have also meant that there are no other alicorns besides Cadence, Twilight, Celestia, Luna and FH. I mean, that episode killed every alicorn OC, and it was beautiful.

@Kane: With the clear difference being that characters within the comics exist within the show’s universe, despite not having appeared on-screen. (Even those that didn’t originally appear in the comics such as Princess Amore.) Whereas most characters that are toyline exclusive are simply that.

They’re both official, but they’re not both canon. Skyla’s only different from Princess Gold Lily and Princess Sterling in terms of popularity.

Princess McFlurry’s color palette is perfectly fine. Very pink, but competently put together. I even like how they kinda tried to mix in a bit of Cadence and Shiny’s color schemes.
