Secret of my Excess. The episode where Spike grows through Greed. This moment is taken from when Spike and Rarity are falling, so Rainbow grabs Fluttershy like shown in this image so she can help Rainbow stretch out a cape that’ll catch those 2 from the fall.
The way the scene plays out, it makes it look like Rainbow is forcing Fluttershy into helping her save Rarity and Spike, which to me is a funny thought.

I apologize for that dyslexia crack too (which makes no sense now that I look at it). There’s nothing wrong with wanting to stick up for character you like. I understand your frustration, but don’t think for a second that I hate Fluttershy. She’s had her moments.

As far as I know, Fluttershy’s the only non-Earth Pony that is said to be good with animals; or some form of taking care of them aside from pets.
After all, in Bridle Gossip, they said that animals taking care of themselves was unnatural, so somepony has to be taking care of them, and not just Fluttershy.
That’s why I think Earth Ponies are also in charge of taking care of the animals.

Well for other cities, there are other ponies, but for poniville it’d probably be cheaper to have one pegasus prevent any wildlife outbreaks than a whole group of earth ponies who can deal with lets say, manticores, bears, giant spiders, etc…

Well, here’s the problem. Not every town has a Fluttershy. If earth ponies aren’t in charge of taking care of the animals, who is?
Another pony who was said to be good with them was Tree Hugger, another Earth Pony.
As for the rocks, there is the Rock Farm, run by Earth Ponies.

Theyre probably good herders, but they have nowhere near the abilities that Flutters have. In addition, the earth ponies of Poniville are mostly merchants
No, just the plants, and maybe the rocks.
Aren’t Earth Ponies supposed to be in charge of keeping the wild animals under control? We see some of them in Sweet Apple Acres.

The ponyville goverment probably pays good money to not be overrun by angry flocks of bears and other dangerous wild animals, especially since thier population consist mostly of earth ponies who cant do much about it

Id assume its goverment work, and that she gets paid for it, just like how RD gets paid for controing the weather.
Fluttershy’s job is taking care of the many animals that come to her cottage. As to whether she gets paid for taking care of them, I have no idea. If she doesn’t get paid, then that just means she doing a job’s worth of work for free. Otherwise, how else does she get paid?
Her brother avoids work and tricks others into doing it for him so he doesn’t have to work at all.
