She refuses to say what her old job was, is in disguise so that the guards can’t recognize her, and is someone who can just invite a bunch of guards to a party. She’s a guard turned traitor and she just killed one of her own ex-comrades.

Maybe the guards of the chest she was planning to rob included both unicorns and pegasus and knowing how dangerous the former are, she invited them to a party where they were food poisoned, so she would have to deal with less ponies.
 
Anyway, ruby, you are a bad pony and I hope you are banished to the Everfree where you won’t harm any other unarmed creature again.
