Hey, it’s me again, the guy from two weeks ago (I think the name of BP changed since I’m using an other computer). Just wanted to tell I’m sorry too, I mean, for having argued two weeks ago. But trust me, have you been on 4chan , especially in the last two years? There are users who always throw shit against the show staff for absolutely no reason, and I get “used” to deal with them and their rude behavior. Brohoof? :)

Personally, MY issue with the whole thing was the Obsidian Orbs. They were a key part of the Storm King’s plan, but we never found out where he got them. Not even the IDW prequel comics, which explained a lot of stuff about the movie characters, explained where they came from.
 
That’s something we can probably at least agree on, even though I liked the movie overall.

I still have to think you didn’t really read my posts, because you only seem to have noticed one single point and seem to think that alone dismisses the rest. Thus, I question the point in responding to you at all, as you’ve already proven that you ignore arguments first. You seem to have put words in my mouth while you’re at it; I never said any of that was “proof” the writing sucked, just presented abundant evidence.
 
Still, you’re right, I didn’t address your specific point (and I suspect you’re going to cherry-pick this post too), so here it is: Not hearing of every little thing that goes on in the world is one thing. Not hearing of a force big enough to be known and feared throughout part of the same landmass, something powerful enough to take over Equestria in minutes with next to no difficulty, stretches credibility. I never said everything has to have ‘50 pieces of foreshadowing’ either, but none of it is so much as alluded to in most cases, giving the impression that it was just thrown in.

Your “proof” that it sucks is arguing that the ponies that have never been outside of Equestria in their entire lives have not heard of things from outside of Equestria. And when I pointed this out, you ignored me and claimed that I didn’t read what you said.
 
Not every new thing introduced has to have 50 small pieces of foreshadowing scattered throughout the entire series.
 
But yes, tell us more about how you’re the sole arbiter of what determines good writing and how we’re obviously stupid for not being as “logical” and “intelligent” as you.

My point was that if they really put in that much ‘effort and care,’ the writing wouldn’t suck as much as it does. If you’re the same person from two weeks ago, you argued against this, I addressed each of your arguments, you responded with ad hominem, and ignored everything I had to say. This tells me that you (and everyone else that claims I’m just saying I was right for no reason) did not have an actual counterargument, but refused to admit fault. It’s the exact opposite of what I am doing; addressing the presented ideas and pointing out why I think they’re wrong.
 
You have still yet to present any kind of counterargument to what was said, instead latching onto my having pointed out your nonsense as “proof” that I’m wrong and you’re right and declaring everything you don’t want to hear “opinions.” If you don’t have the capacity to address your own stance on the matter, you aren’t mature enough to argue the point in the first place. Period.

Yes, because new things in a series must always have 50 pieces of foreshadowing before they appear. Never mind the fact that all of those places and characters were outside Equestria, so OF COURSE the ponies that have never been outside of Equestria wouldn’t have heard of them.

What I tried to say it’s that I KNOW the series and EG have their flaws (like EVERY show ever), but you’re wisng them trying to prove that the show staff don’t care nor put effort. And you’re demanding to be the one in the right.  
You expressed your point of view, and automatically thought you “dismantled” mine. I shared those pictures bevause I undertsood it was pointless to discuss with you, and you’re keeping on proving that.  
If you don’t or even can’t appreciate the effort of the staff, it’s your loss.

I didn’t put any counterargument because you went againts an user who claimed that the staff put effort in their job, and even defending those who accuse them to not care about their job.  
I felt so bad when Jim said he felt discouraged beacause of the massive season 8 leaks, and everyone replied to him they all make a great job and ddidn’t deserve that. They worked a lot for 8 years to give us the best possible show, and you are still saying that they don’t care.  
Everyone thought EG was going to be a shitty Bratz rip off back in early 2013. Guess what? It surprised everyone by not being that bad, and now it’s acclaimed and beloved by fans who are never tired of new EG material.  
They SURELY have flaws, but still they do the best they can. Still, EG material always leave a smile on my face.
 
Now, listen, you think that way, I think this way. They are just like… our opinions, man XD ;)  
Let’s stop trying to convice us at each other, it’d be pointless.

I don’t hate the series, I acknowledge the many faults of its writing, and enjoy the general spectacle (of EQG and the main series) regardless. Believe it or not, it is possible to do both of these things at once.
 
It was established when, with simple logic, I dismantled all of the points you attempted to make, you cementing it yourself by failing to offer any sort of counterargument and stooping to name-calling.
 
I am pointing out the facts, and no matter what you want to believe, saying they are opinion does not make them opinion.
 
The notion that you’re so wrapped up in your preferred entertainment media that you equate problems with it to direct attacks on your person, jumping to its defense like a rabid animal with no grasp of critical thinking or logical thought processes, however? Is just my opinion. :)
